I have a Dayton electric 280V unit heater in my garage, works exceptionally well, didnt want to worry about running a gas line to a unit heater so decided to mount and electric one from the ceiling.

I just put my car in the shop the other night so i can start workin on it again. We have 2 130,000 btu hanging heaters in our 40x60 shop I usually just pull it up on the hoist lift it in the air and do what needs to be done, then climb up into the loft when im done and watch tv and take a nap lol

I have a 40,000 BTU propane heater that works pretty well. I am wondering though how much carbon monoxide it gives off in my two stall garage if all doors are closed. Does anyone know how safe the levels are for propane space heaters? How about kerosene heaters? I guess I could open a window, but that kind of defeats the purpose a lil bit.

Not sure about the amount they put out, but always crack a door or window or something to help fresh air come in. If your really worried about it, install a carbon monoxide detector in the garage.
