Default ? about egr mod

instead of the little egr mod can you just remove the whole system ...i dont have to worry about emissions

Most guys remove it completely as its not that hard to take off at all. You will either have to get an ls6intake or you can plug the hole on your manifold but if you do headers or anything you can either keep it or get a race style header and it will have to be pulled off anyways. If you have no emissions either wait until you get headers or just pull it off it really doesnt matter either way

Yes you can remove the whole system but you need to plug the hole in the intake

I cant remember the exact size but its just a freeze plug you can get at any hardware store. Im sure someone knows the exact size but I cant remember you can try a search and type in freeze plug and you will find out the size.

i used a rubber freeze plug type of thing that was adjustable. it was like 3 bucks at advance auto parts

I think it's about 1" in diameter. Not sure though, I took my peice from a friend.

I've got a thick peice of rubber with washers on both ends. When you put it all together and tighten the bolt down it makes the rubber expand and smashes itself in there.
