Default Where can I get a cam installed/tuned in Central Illinois?

Interested in getting a cam installed into my 01 SS, interested in what the cost would be for the installation of the cam and the tuning it would require. Most likely be a TR224/224 114 LSA cam.

Isn't RTR the motorcycle shop in Washington? I think you meant R&T's.

I would recommend StraightLine!
It is a few miles away but those guyz will make it worth your while!
If I lived quite abit away from a good shop I would rent a pick up and a flatbed and bring it over! All you would need is 1 day anyways.
Goodluck to ya

Get some of the locals to help install and then take it for a tune. Straightline is the closest and good. FLP also does great work.

I would take it to Straightline. Good deal on a cam install & tune package.

Exactly, you want someone who knows what they are doin and take pride in their work.. Ive been to shops that leave oily handprints on the hood and grease on the center counsel.. Straightline bar none

Uh no, Mitch isn't the owner. He also doesn't tune. Dan would be the one dyno tuning your car and last I heard Jim, Dan, and I think one other guy are the owners/officers of the business.

But yeah, they do great work. My car goes back for another tune in March, Dan is the man when it comes to tuning!

I don't know of any shop around here that I would trust to do it. You're gonna have to go up north. I think a few of the shops mentioned offer cam install packages that are very good deals.

No... I am not the owner or the tuner. Dan is the tuner. Also... Dan is one of the owners along with 2 others. I am the Sales Manager and I put together all of the performance packages.

I know just enough to get into my FAST engine management system and cause problems. I leave the tuning to Dan as he is literally one the best around.

Thats why I don't even attempt to tune my car. I've messed with FAST systems a couple times, but I can see my screwing it up bad enough to rattle even Dan! Either that or I'd be calling him with the weirdest tuning question he's ever heard.

I recommend SPEED INC in Schaumburg area. Ask for Larry, he'll set you up!

Finish Line Performance or Speed Inc. Stay away from straightline....

I went with Speed Inc for my cam....Talk to Larry...awsome deal on a cam/tune! They will set you up with the right cam for your set-up. (might I suggest the SI5???)
