It is likely cashed. A crack like that is usually not good. It prolly would be a waste of time & money to put it all together just to find out.

ACTUALLY.... my air compressor works great. I used it on every bolt hole.... seems like I just have a black cloud following me. But thanks for your input juiced96z, thats a good Idea... the whole buying a new block thing. Maybe if the economy straightens out by july I will have a job and can pay for one.

Thanks again!!!

ahhh.... the buzz is gone and the hangover begins... I need to take off the altenator to check the block, I talked to Mista Miaggi (mike) last nite and he said if I f*cked one up that would be the one to crack... Driver side front lower 15 mm bolt. (end of the block) So I'll check it out later and let everyone know my situation yay so excited!

my block was welded in two spots by the engine builder the first time i had my motor rebuilt with good parts, they noticed two little cracks. I cleaned the **** out of those bolt holes on the previous head install before I hurt the stock short so dunno how that happened but it did. but its held up fine. even been through another rebuild when i spun a rod bearing in 2006.

ARP head studs solve that concern moving forward

nah Im pretty damn sure its fine now... I spent about 3 hours today cleaning and recleaning the bolt holes. I spent so much f*cking time doing that but my threader bolt just kept pulling more **** out of the holes. And When I put the other head on, it did the same thing Only this time I knew for damn sure it wasnt full of ****. So I think it was a false alarm. but Ill find out for sure later. haha My legs are f*cking killing me. But thanks for the hope hahaha. And damn this info spreads like wildfire I've already had 3 people call me and be like "how was your day?" hahaha. you guys suck! lol.

Oh and rippin I would of had you come over But I dont know how much later Im going to mess with this... mess. haha Just wish me luck! lol
