Andy,

Yeah bud, I am surprised I missed you as I was outside checking out all the wild ******* action from 9:40 A.M. up until the man showed up about 1 hour and 20 minutes later!

My new forged blown Z is going in for a new twin disc McCleod clutch this week and will swing by your shop to check things out in the near future. The Elmhurst and Lombard car shows are just around the corner my friend and should be a wild summer!

What's the latest info in the kid who got arrested? What did he get charged with (if anything hopefully not) after being handcuffed and put in the back of Schaumburg's finest patrol car. That douchebag video is a classic!

Somebody said he wasn't "arrested", but rather, "detained". I figure, if you're pulled out of your car, handcuffed, put in a squad car and taken away, that's "arrested", regardless of the legal definition. I stand behind my offer to take up a collection and help the guy out. Everyone was doing burnouts and he's the one who paid the price, I will put money up to help him out, he needs a lawyer. Anyone else? Hook us up, who is he?

By definition, cops don't "detain". They can tell you that "you're not under arrest, you're being detained", but the fact is that if you are not free to leave, you are arrested.

There's plenty of other less obvious **** you can slide by with if they don't
sideline you for the lack of a front plate OR TINTED SIDE WINDOWS.

Why ask for a confrontation? May as well just walk up to their car and **** on their door handle.. when they're in it.(J/K)

PS.. Pay your taxes too.
ok, did you even go to the open house? because 90% of the cars there DID NOT have a front plate. we all know its illegal and that you will get tickets for it. but dont sit there and say that why would anyone not have one on their car. when odds are you dont have one either.

just noticed your a newb

From what I understand, they placed him in custody for thier own protection, and then released him.. A member here gave him a ride home.. Goatchz. Ask him... That being said, I dont think he followed him to the station. Being detained is common practice.

I know what happened to the kid but I can't say anything about it right now. Also, I did not give the driver a ride just the passenger

I did not say " why would anyone not have one on their car" you interpreted my words...

"We all know its illegal and that you will get tickets for it." ARE your words... I personally would much rather spend my time and $ on something else... My choice...

I may be a "NEWBE" but I DO have a front plate on my car!!!
Always have...

(I DO have it secured by a chunk of velcro for easy removal!)

IChoose NOT to fight that battle... OR the tints battle for that matter...

I'd rather have a discretionary ticket for wheelspin or some other bogus infringement but not a blatent no plate ticket...

This is only my observation and that's all newbe or not.

Enough of the plate bullshit... No more outta me...

Be glad this is America and we have the right to choose... for now...

if someone starts a collection, i'll throw in a few bucks. i was there doing burnouts and enjoying other ppls burnouts as well. it's only fair. like most ppl, i don't have piles of money sitting around, but if we all throw like 20 bucks in, the fines shouldn't be a problem for him. Besides, 20 bucks was well worth seeing the cars and burnouts.

Not that I know of. I told my friend (his teacher) to tell him to come on here and check it out.

My dad went to the Schaumburg village hall today to pick up some permits for work, since he was there he stopped by the police station told the sergeant his opinion on things Saturday. He said he guy didn't care, but atleast he spoke his mind. I showed him the video's of the kid getting "detained" and he thought it was complete BS how they came in like gang busters instead of just stopping it.

sounds like pigeon forge to me. Speed Inc if you can't find a way to control your own get together the cops will feed every time I promise you. A bunch of blow hards went overboard with the stunts, the cops blamed everyone that was there with the use of tickets for a message, and then to see speed give a feeling of no skin off my back we tried. Sounds like everyone needs a pat on the back.
