Like I said, they got some money. It's just really weird as I know it would seem like a cool place to go on some crazy vacation, but since I was deployed just south of there, I will always associate it with flying combat sorites, and defending the nation under sometimes harsh and dangerous conditions. It's just not a place I could ever go on vacation because of that.
There is not much threat of terrorism in Dubai itself as they really want it to be a place for tourism to be safe, however there are a lot of places around there I would not feel comfortable walking around, looking like an American.
How the hell did we get on this topic anyways??

Dubai is a large city just north of where I deployed to. We flew over it every day (and night).
There are a couple guys I was deployed that made this music video while we were there. It gives you an idea of what the environment is outside the city;

We started talking about it because one of our middle eastern customers is over in the states getting a dyno built in Ohio and he came by to hang out with us. And we were talking about Bahrain racetrack and isht.

It's not really a tennis court, it's a helipad that was turned into a tennis court for a commercial. But yeah...dont' fall off for sure...211 meters = 692 feet.

Want to buy the 1st piece for your Supra build? I bought a brand new, in box, 2nd gen HKS SSQV blow off valve, only to find out, I need a recirculating BOV for the LSx build since it's MAF, where as Supra's and my old car were MAP's, so they don't need a recirculating BOV
Also, how much extra does it cost to have a custom plate?

Jassim's cool, we took him to Big G's for lunch today, then Brent took him over to show him the GTO drag car this afternoon. I wish that he would of brought his car over with him, as he would of had plenty of time here to get it dialed in. It cost him $3,000.00 every time he takes his car to the track to run it over there. They don't have any dragstrips in Kuwait, so he has to go to Bahrain. Bob
