I'd expect one of the biggest reasons is core motors. Almost ANY core motor can be taken .030 over safely, and .030 over pistons are common, so it's the cheapest combo to build, parts wise. If you were trying to keep them 364, or minimize the overbore, you'd have to keep 4.000 4.010, 4.020 and 4.030 pistons on hand, and go through extra work on each engine. Most people are rebuilding engines or using cores, not buying brand new blocks.
There's also the fact that 4.030 is about as much as you want to take an F/I engine on an LQx block, and 370 is a 4.030 with a nice rev happy (and turbo friendly) stroke.
That's just my theory though, Joe or someone could probably tell you in more exacting reasons.

Time out She added me so dont start that . We dated before but at the time well i should say all the time i was to busy for her like a dumb ***. She is a great woman Im serious!!!!!!! Wasn't me I havent said a thing .. I knew she had a bf and I dont take it any further then talking once becouse of that. My thoughts are if she didnt like her bf and wanted to talk to us she would have. Maybe thats why im single Im too nice
