Blake, headers look unique. I am not familiar with that particular Jet Hot coating, does it make it more heat resistant?
Nick, good choice on the type of color. Definatly go with something custom and not an ordinary color though. Try something like a grey/silver/pearl. That would look wicked (or at least it does in my mind).
Today was the last day of my vacation I had to work on base. They let me fly the simulator for the first time. Given the fact that I only have 48 hours of flying time, and never flew something that big, I was very happy with how easily I seemed to be able to pick up on how to fly it. Don't get me wrong, I did not fly it like a pro, but I was able to make some decent landings in simulated weather that I was very happy about.
Here's a pic;

If I had the eyes (color blind), I would be doing what your doing Ben. Nice Tiger Stripes too. Is that the heavy/thicker one like the old BDUs or have they come out with the lighter/summer style version? My favorite color of uniform is what the marines have, but nothing compares to the functionality of the army combat uniform (so many damn pockets).

They are the ABU's. They came out last year and will be mandatory for everyone to wear as a battle uniform in 2010 as they are replacing the BDU's (the standard camo most are used to seeing). They are like the BDU's as they have both a winter weight (which I am wearing) and a summer weight. The Army and the Marines battle dress uniform are slightly different from the Air Forces ABU's.
Other than some field activities, and some training events, I will probably never wear mine. Flyers wear flight suits 99% of the time. I had my ABU's on today since I am working for the base.

I just get sick of everyone having black/gray, so I wanted something different, and they definitely are.

That simulator looks like fun, if I ever win the lottery 5-10 times, I'd put something like that in my living room.
I'm in for Friday.

Do Aviators come with the suit?
Also, the ACU's are actually quite a bit different from the ABU's. Velcro enclosed pockets and a zip up front on the top. For some reason they left buttons to enclose the pants.
Rather have a zipper. It works a lot better when I'm wearing my ACU's/Armor on the range than when I wore BDU's/Armor at basic. Oh and we got new toys for the range this next year (Just saw them last drill).
