Went and bought a red Duralast, and it was still in the car when I sold it 3 years later. I'm all for the possibility of a wiring issue, but then why did my 50 dollar Autozone battery outlive my 150 dollar Optima by 4-5x or more.

Optimas may last fine for some, but they aren't consistent at anything except their idiotic prices.
Sounds like buying an optima is like buying a Walbro fuel pump these days

Why would you guys be missing a socket anyway? Are you assuming it was your shop or techs?

I was just making a funny joke because I know Bob gives deep deals and throws in free stuff sometimes when customers come to EPP

Hahaha, I'm assuming many people blamed EPP because I heard a certain someone dressed up as a particular tech wearing a necklace of sockets.

That and Blake told me what he had heard. All I know, it wasn't us. And I won't go any further so we can just get back to wasting time and not having this EPP vs the world bullshit.

Just spent the last 5 hours trying to get my Alkycontrol kit working. Something's dead in it I think; when I hook up power, the pump makes noise (and doesn't ever stop) but nothing comes out and the test buttons don't seem responsive.

Not Alkycontrol's fault, the guy I bought this from was apparently retarded. Now I have to tear this thing down and figure out what the F the issue is. Ugh.

I know how to run a ground Jacob.

Looks to me like either a dead digital pot or failed relay in the control box, but since it's "factory sealed" and I want the factory to look at it, I'm just going to send it in and have them fix it up.

edit: I did get the pump going, it just wasn't priming itself. Now when I hook the system up, it streams water at ~150 psi out of the nozzle until I pull the fuse. Helpful, if I need to wash my car.

I'm sure you've got the tank mounted higher than the pump then, yes?

Yeah, the pump moves fluid, the problem is that my progressive controller is currently a 400 dollar on/off switch, with a fuse instead of a toggle. Plug in fuse, full power from pump, no control. I think something is hosed in the unit, not surprising, since the guy I bought it from (used, not Julio Don, he's a pimp) is a complete and utter ******* tool (Latin: Toolicus Maximus).

I'm hoping that Julio can take it back and service it, otherwise I guess I buy a new alky controller. Woo.

Lucas,

Do you know if any 8.8" gearset and diff work in the 8.8 IRS Explorer housing? Trying to put together a 31 spline posi setup with 3.55 gears for the RX7, and I already have a housing thanks to Nick.

Yes, Ford parts on my Chevy powered Mazda with Nissan seats. That's how I roll.

I'll be there Joe to do a few pulls. Got my tune tweaked today, curious to see how much it helped. When's the best time to come? I have to work until 3pm.
