Well, found out today that Ft Wayne is out for a possible destination for my cross country flight. The 122nd Fighter Wing out of Ft Wayne is not "working" that weekend, and supposedly airport security won't garuntee the safety of our T-6.

The closest I can get to Ft Wayne is either Toledo Ohio, or Indy. That is unfortunatly besides the fact I still haven't found an Instructor Pilot who I was able to give up the sandy beaches of Florida for Indiana...

Still not a total done deal, but its not looking good for me coming home

Thanks Blake. If I do somehow pull it off, I'm gonna have to drive from Indy or Toledo to the Fort after I land which will be a pain. I really only have one chance left for instructors. Theres just one I haven't asked yet since he hasn't been around. I'll let everyone know once I find out, but at this point its not looking good...

Too bad that Accel throttle body isn't for an LT1.

Hey guys, not that anyone ever seems to need this stuff, but...

I have a 6.0 available, iron block. Spun bearings, needs crank turned, probably 0.020 under. Block + top cover, mains, crank, intake, oil pan, windage, pickup, oil pump, lifters/retainers/pushrods, water pump. ~175 bucks. As far as I know it's stock bore.

65 bucks for the 5.3 if anyone wants it also. I think the rest of my spare stuff is sold, finally.

Blake, is the 6.0 a lq4 or lq9? I'm up in the air about an aluminum or iron block... not that I'm ready to take the plunge on a beefy short block BUT I've been looking to start piecing a 402 or 408 together

LQ4 and LQ9 have the exact same crank and block, only difference is the CR of the pistons

+1 to what Nick said, you wouldn't use the pistons anyway, so it wouldn't matter. It is an LQ4 though.

So the 6.0 is a shortblock with intake? I might have someone that might need that. Maybe the 5.3 too.
