Blake, i was seriously ready to step in after that fuckstick punched your car at the lot this weekend. I don't know how you were able to contain yourself.

Oh trust me, if there had been anything more then a hand print (that came off with quick detailer) it would have been a throw-down.

People are punching cars? Someone would've had to call 911 if I was there when it happened

He didn't punch it so much as fell into it with his hand. The idiots were apparently wrestling near my car, and one guy got knocked over and smacked my door with his hand trying to catch his balance. I stopped for a second so I didn't go punch him in the throat... walked over, and there was no damage (just a smudge from his hand). Made a loud noise though.

I very politely told them not to touch my ******* car under implied threat of death and went back to what I was doing.

Got on the dyno at EPP today. Made some good power but its breaking up at 5100 and just dies. Something in my ignition will need some upgrading. Made 576whp and 677wtq

EPP's got a Mustang dyno, so those are some KILLER numbers man! What are your plugs gapped at? If its more than .028 you might want to consider tightening the gap down. My first dyno with the blower I was blowing out the spark due to a larger gap. After I closed the gap, it fixed it.

Depending on your setup, you may just need an aftermarket ignition box (if you don't already have one).

Blake, glad to hear that no damage was done. At least it wasn't intentional.

We put a new set of plugs in and gapped them to .025. This cleaned up below 5100 and made it a lot smoother along with some tuning. It literally just falls on its face and starts breaking up after 5100. I am running a stock distributor with a MSD blaster coil and MSD 6AL. Not sure what those are supposed to be rated to. Boost holds steady all the way and afr looks good as well

Just an idea, but you might want to try another 6AL box to see if the one you have isn't the problem. I've seen them fail in the past.

Your truck's going to be a beast when the problem gets worked out! Bob

LOL, I literally was just thinking that before I read your post. It will just take some asking around and some trial and error to get this thing right.

Thanks again bob and brent, great service is always appreciated.

That looks amazing for a single turbo motor. Great job! Was it breaking up like that when we did our runs Friday?

Yeah , I am %110 positive it was. Its just harder to notice on the street. You could really hear it being inside on the dyno. It also helps that I'm not roosting the tires off either.

That explains why you didn't run me down like I expected you to then. Once that thing hooks (and doesn't break ), and runs like it should up top, it'll be a friggin animal!

I agree with Bob on the different ignition box. If everything was working right, it sounds to me like you got the combo that should work. But I have heard that some of MSD's products from the factory can be faulty (although I have never had any issues, and I am running pretty much the same ignition setup).

What kind of distributor is it? Is it a HEI with coil in cap, and ignition module? If so, check module as well as MSD box. Good numbers regardless, I imagine your not wanting to go much above 5500 rpm with the turbo anyways!
