Anyone know if LPE tunes cars they didn't build? When my car get's done (Lord knows when that will be -- doesn't seem like anytime soon) I'm going to need a retune. EPP will do it, I'm sure. They look like my best bet for now.

No, LPE does not do tunes for stuff they didn't build. At least they didn't when I worked there.

I know Chad is "out of the tune game" but I would call him when your all done just to see...BUT as fast as your car is, tuning on the dyno is a good idea for safety, but you have to do real world hot day tuning as well to make sure its not too lean under load on a 90 degree day with the juice!

There are places up in the Chicago area that I'm sure can tune your combo; EPP is probably the best local option and I'm sure would take good care of you. With the amount of issues that everyone has had with Chad's stuff, I'm not sure why you would go that direction. Constantly needing retunes seems like a problem to me...

Anybody have the latest edition of the NHRA rule book that I could take a look at? I'm putting an 8 point cage in my car and need to see what the requirements are

Hey, I'm sure I have a copy of the rule book. I can copy some pages and email them to ya. If you need any help with the cage just let me know. By the way, are you planning on using chromoly? With what you have built so far, I think it would be very wise on using it.

NHRA legal for 10.0:
5 point, main hoop with two downbars to rear of car and a driver's side door bar. No diagonal crossbracing required. If tubes do not end on a frame rail, you must use a 6" square spreader plate welded (or bolted with a reinforcing plate on the opposite side of the body).

My cage was built to exactly meet 10.0 specs and has been through NHRA tech inspection, for a point of reference.
