Looks fun Ben. I heard a joke the other day that made me think of you.

Here it is---

A C-130 was en route on a mission when a cocky F-16 pilot flew up next to him.

The fighter jock told the C-130 pilot, "watch this!" He went into a Barrel roll, followed by a steep climb, then finished with a sonic boom when he
reached the speed of sound. The F-16 pilot asked the C-130 pilot what he thought.

The C-130 pilot responded "that was impressive, but watch this."

The C-130 droned along for about 15 minutes then the 130 pilot came
back on and said "What did you think about that?"

The 16 pilot asked, "what did you do?"

The C-130 pilot responded "I got up, stretched! my legs, went to the back poured a cup of coffee and took a ****." Any questions ??

Scott. I don't recall the year that particular bird was built, but the early KC-135's were built in the early 50's. It probably is a later model though and is about 20 years older than me. The tankers are the 2nd oldest airframe used in the USAF next to the slightly older B-52's. The one thing I love about Grissoms KC-135's is that they are kept in brand new condition. So even though it is really old, they don't break often, and they look and fly like they are new. Some of the older Active Duty KC-135's like the one I was sitting in yesterday and will be flying here, are not kept in nearly the condition.

Luke, a similar event happened years ago to me while I was doing a mission taking F-16's over the Atlantic. Several hours into the trip we were giving gas to the F-16's (which we did every hour or so to make sure they always had plenty of fuel if any of us needed to try and divert somewhere), and the F-16 asked over the radio while I was topping him off; "so, what did you do last since we took gas from you an hour ago?", to which I replied "well lets see, I took a nap in the crew bunk, ate a pizza I pulled out of our oven, took a dump in an actual bathroom, then played PSP against the flight engineer. What about you?" to which he angrily replied; "...nothing".

Yet another reason it is not always gloriful to be a fighter pilot.

I'll be out tonight. I don't generally hang out at the lot when it's a monsoon.

Anyone remember the blue Camaro that EPP did a while back, Scott owned it, then he went to Japan? Apparently he sold it to some guy, that guy took it to SPeedInc and had a TON of work done ot it, still not right as it dyno's for **** and has some tubo exhaust leak or something. Poor guy is selling it now, on here....he is down to $16,500. 408, rear mount turbo, RPM 4L60E tranny, etc. Wow, he spent tons trying to fix it and it doesnt seem to run correctly. I told him he had to get a track time out of it or people wont spend $10.00 on it, it just seems like a ******* money pit at this point. Feel sorry for the guy, apparently everyone on this site knows the car isnt right.

Car now has 80lb/hr injectors and a 3bar SD tune in it. New battery, starter, and fuel pump

The car has been at Speed Inc. in Schaumberg, Il since May and I just picked it up last Friday. Everytime they would get something done on it, another problem popped up with it

The car is perfect now and is a blast to drive, I've just lost intrest in it and if someone is looking for an extreamley nice and fast car, this may be the one for you.

Car made 625/589 to the rear wheels on a dynojet with it leaking boost somewhere after the intercooler, but I haven't had a chance to take a look at it yet. With the setup and the boost leak fixed it should see over 700 I'm sure.

Like I said, I'm just board with the car right now and done spending money on it, I already racked up over $8,000 into the car just since I bought it!!

All together I've got well over $40,000 in recepts, not including the car.

Therefore, I think I'll start at 23,000 and I'm taking a huge loss, but different priorities are a little more important right now.

Any questions, just ask. I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of things, so I'll answer any questions you may have.

Thanks,

Ryan

That's too bad, I thought Ryan was getting a good car. Scott's Camaro was the last one we installed a rear mount turbo on, but I thought it was sorted out when Scott sold it before he moved to Hong Kong. Below is a link to the build from the old website. Bob

The rollcage is installed, and the new customer has decided to wait to get the larger injectors installed for the time being. He is going to get use to the car with the current power before going for more power.

I thought it ran decent and didnt remember it having all these issues either. I wonder what the new owner did or if SPeed INc just changed stuff because they preferred a different setup? $16.5K is pretty good price. Only has 40,000 miles on it. Sell the 4L60E, swap in a TH400 and it should be a solid low 9 second car.

That car just seems to have had not very good luck if I remember right its had a few motors too... I dont blame anyone from wanting to stay away from a basket case...

I just can't get over the concept of such a large turbo rear mounted. I know guys make them work, but that just never seemed like a great plan to me.

So a buddy of mine who is in IFF (Intro to Fighter Fundamentals), a program that you go through after you graduate pilot training if you are going to fly something that potentially can shoot down another aircraft (basically where they teach you the basics of air to air combat), sent me this video. I spent about an hour last night laughing my *** off. Maybe its just more funny to me since I am a recent graduate, and the memory is fresh in my mind of flying with a screaming instructor sitting behind me.
