Converter should be here tomorrow. FTI billet race w/ lockup. Hopefully the car will be back on the road in another week or two.

What tires are you running?? MT drag radials?? Have you tried disconnecting the front sway bar?? Different tire pressures?? I'm sure you've tried heating the tires longer.
Is the car squatting evenly out back or to the passenger side?? Might need an airbag in the right rear (pass spring) if uneven.

Got all the suspension stuff from MWC. Haven't changed pinion angle, it's set to -2. Running MT radials-they are only 255s. Front sway is gone. Running about 14.5-15lbs tire pressure.
I need a spotter to tell me how the car is squatting. I'm just not too sure. Joe helped me straighten the car out by stiffening the right/rear shock 5 clicks. The *** of the car was kicking to the right.
I think I just need to spend some money up front and get some DA shocks. Plus wider rubber in the back. Maybe taller too.

Needs more air pressure! Those are bias ply pressures. You're on radials. Start at 20 and adjust up first, imo. If no better, try 19.

what rear gear, what converter, what are you stalling to at starting line, where is it shifting, what rpm/gear at end of 1/4? DA shocks up front is the first thing I would do, then look at tire/converter/gear as a "single" unit...see if it is all working together or not. Fast for an LT-1!

3.89 gear. It's an M6. I try to shift @ 6500. Right at about 6000 crossing the finish.

I'll try that Scott. Other opinions led me to the lower pressures.

Ben, Frost is coming Sep 23-25th. Dyno day is the 24th. Bill Davis will be installing my 4" catback next week, if all goes well.

Awesome Scott! Do you have any expectations power wise of what you expect it to put down on the dyno?

The car looks amazing, and Nate (as always) does great work. Looking forward to seeing the car perform at the track! (and on the street )

Troy, I've got BFG drag radials (315/30/18) and that day that I was at track I had mine at 25psi and it was hooking pretty good. I didn't really adjust the tire pressure when I was there, but it was my first time at the track.

OK...since you have a stick and the right amount of gear...

get some taller tire with more sidewall and front DA shocks, and you shoul dbe good to go. You have enough power for 1.5 short times. 28 in tall tire will do what you want.

If any one cares (since its not really car related), I get to fly the KC-135R for the first time tomorrow.

I only get a handfull of flights out here, then I'll be back home to the Fort for good in a few weeks!

Congrats Ben! That sucker looks interesting to fly, for sure.

On car related topics, I got the new tranny/converter in, and got a driveshaft built at FW Clutch. They did a really nice job, and faaaaast as well.

Driveshaft is also in. Just tracking down the parts I need to setup the vacuum switch for the lockup, as well as a force on/force off bypass for it also. My uncle is welding up the new intake tract for the boost charge pipes (v-band setup).

Might still be able to get the car out before the weather turns. Time will tell.

Thanks Blake. The last few years have been great, but difficult. I have got to fly 3 different types of aircraft, 2 of them jets all on the Air Force's dollar, and although demanding, it has been rewarding.

The downside really is, I miss having a life outside of constant studying, and flying. My Camaro has been in storage for WAY too long, and some maintenance items are overdue (got to noticing it after I had it out for the week I was home in May).

I can't wait to get back into the Fort, and catch up with everyone, build my house, get my car out again, and really enjoy life.

Blake, how do you like the new automatic tranny vs the manual? I know going with an auto is the best way to win races, but I can't get past how much fun going through gears are. You're car ought to be plenty fast. I would love to see how Nicks compares given it's obvious traction issue its going to have

I had a similar automatic in the car a few years ago (though with much less power). It is noticeably quicker to get moving with the auto, and the turbo should make that even more pronounced.

Hopefully this automatic actually SHIFTS unlike my old one.
