My car is gonna run like a raped ape. Someday. Maybe.
Ran it's best mph in the 1/8th and the quarter (110.7 and 138.9) on the rev limiter for the last 2 seconds of the pass. Need to get the top end of the track figured out (torque converter lockup) and then work on getting the launch down with the spray. Considering the 60' was off by over 2/10s compared to a so-so NA lauch, and it ran 10.25, it'll go 9.80s @ 140+ once it's all sorted out.

Scott, don't you want to work on your short times first? Hate to see you get the big end squared away just to have to redo it because of the effects of the better launch.

I can fix the big end stuff on the street, so that'll come first. Hooking out of the hole won't really effect the TC lockup point. I want to lock it at the lowest speed in 3rd gear where the rpm drop doesn't bog the car's monentum. The old combo locked @ 105 mph, iirc.

Hey guys i've been doing some looking and reading and i'm thinking about selling the mach1 and buying a vette. I think i'm leaning more towards a good handling car rather than a drag race car. Which car would be the best bang for my buck?
C5 and mod it as needed
C5Z and leave it mostly stock
C6 and .....?
Thanks in advance.

I think you can get the most bang/buck with a C5, especially a '99. The better engine, but old enough to be pretty cheap. C5Zs command a little bit too much premium for their advantages. You could also look for a C5 FRC and get 95% of the C5Z advantages for less $$.
C6 is great, but there is a big price premium there.

Not to be biased, but look into V8 RX7's. Especially the 93-95's, my body style. They can be had for <$15k, they're monsters on the road course and auto-x, and weigh high 2000lbs with full interior
