Ben,
1. Eric Johnson FTW.
2. Not bad. Almost 700 fpm climb.
3. Experimenatal, so no VFR?
4. Radio? Transponder?
5. My dad's plane is in the last set of hangers to the north. Look for the Lexus at the east end when he's there.

Chris,
Rob won a plaque for the top 25 cars. No plaque for me, though. We both did photoshoots for magazines late Sunday. He'll be in GM High Tech Performance and I'll be in Camaro Performers. Should be a couple months for each. Pretty excited to say the least.

Thanks Scott. It is experimental, but that doesn't necissarily limit it on anything itself. It has no instruments for IFR, so it is VFR only (I think this is what you meant). No radio or transponder. You just have to make sure you clear very well and lookout for everyone else (and hope they are doing the same). I have met up with your Dad at the airport back when I got it, but haven't seen his plane yet.

You officially have the fastest high 12 second car on the planet!!!!!!

now you need to build a cheap fox body with a powerglide and throw your motor in it and run 8's!

wonder what people in the stands were thinking when it took off like a turd and then at half track it pulled like a freight train! lol

I don't think Nick had any intention of having a good 1/4 mile car when he did the build. He wanted a mile car, not a quarter mile car.

The plane is fun, but more than a handfull to land. Yesterday there was a bit of a crosswind. In that little plane, I am just happy that it gets back down safely. Its not one that "good" landings are accomplished much in.

Nick is going to scare the hell out of people with that thing on the street....

"Look, Im killing that little Mazda!!! Man, Im wakling him bad....WHOOSH....what the **** was that...where did that Mazda go...????"

145 mph is enough to tangle with big bore bikes on a kick....be interesting to see at what mph/gear he can hook up well enough to really hammer it on high boost!

145 mph aint ish. hehe. What i think is really impressive is that u were in the throttle prob 70% of the run. Youve really got me wanting to sell this nitrous setup and just put on the twins that i keep putting off.

Anyone interested in buying my setup? Puts a well sorted ride @3200lb in the eights on pump gas on a single stage?

12.7 with a 2.8 60' launching in 2nd and picking up 42mph out the backhalf while bouncing off the limiter crossing the line

Can't complain for only making 2 SUPER easy shakedown hits on the 18" street tires and half the boost the car is tuned to, when the car was still on jackstands a week ago. We'll get it sorted and in the 9s in street trim with the 6 speed in no time. If I wanted a race car, I would have built a race car

Ive only hit 150 officially once, it didnt feel any diff than 149. lol. Im keeping the sbc though, too many ls cars in FW already. Btw Bojrab, im assuming u were in the stands last night, how did the "**** 10" run? too bad my mph was 5 off from usual, it would have been a nice pass. That was the best 60ft its ever done 1.27 (radials), and people say muncie wont hook.

Nick, the car is running great and those videos are hilarious. I need to get the boost turned up on mine, I should be able to keep up for at least the 1/8 with the auto, until you go glide anyway.

Ben, that looks like fun.

My 60 ft. times are better at Muncie than what I ran at ORP at the Shootout. Chris do you have a manual or an automatic in your truck? If it's an auto, what size of stall converter do you have in it?

I use a 6 speed manual in the truck

Na, its an auto. The stall speed is relitive to how much power ur throwing at it, and if you can apply that power quick enough to "flash" the converter
