Scott, you dont technically need a progressive to tame the power when you spray. You said you blow the tires off when it hits, and im assuming you have tried different starting rpm's and none has made a difference. So an easy thing you can do is have your tuner pull a large amount of timing when the n2o activates and ramp it back in over time, itll have the same effect as a progressive.

So if you pull 10 degress for nitrous now, try pulling 20 right away and ramp in 10 over .5 sec (or by rpm). You need to go to the track and only worry about the launch, if it spins abort that run and try something else. Theres a million things that will have an affect on the launch, tire pressure, burnout procedure, launch rpm, nitrous delay, shock settings, instant center, yadda yadda. Its gonna take time to get all those things to jive.

And X2 on posting a link or some up close shots of the article, I want to read it

Any rumors of when Muncie will open? I know it has new owners and all, but I was thinking they opened in March, or is it May?

I found this on their website.

March 31st will be a test and tune day from noon to 5 pm. Weather permitting - possible gamblers race. Wednesday April 3rd - test and tune, regular hours. Gate opens at 5 pm, time trials at 5:30. Trophy race following time trials. New lower prices for 2012 test and tune - Car and driver $15.00, spectator $5.00.

Chris, I just need track time to get it sorted. Unfortunately, I'm working 60+ hours a week and it doesn't look like that will change any time soon. Working 2nd shift prevents me from T&T and I don't want to take vacation just to get a few passes. Also, now that Nate doesn't have access to the trailer, I'd have to drive it there and back. I know, I'm bitchin' out, but that's the way it is. I need a magic wand or something.

Took the car out for about a 30 minute drive today. Everything is running well so far. Bring on the spring.

Planning on a solid axle swap this fall, also. Gotta do wheelies.

Hopefully you'll have that thing out more than once or twice before you tear into it again

Even though it is UBER nice today, most guys probably won't get their cars out this early. At least thats how it has been in the past.

My pile won't be out for a while longer. It would be nice if it stayed this way all the way until summer. It's amazing it has lasted, and forecasted to last as long as it has. I just find it hard to believe it would stay this way long enough to get my car out early, and I think many may also feel the same way.

Let us know if anyone is out.

I would be out this weekend but tonight I had the unfortunate circumstance of attending one of my best friend's funerals, and the rest of the weekend I'm working nights to assist in the opening of our new hospital (Parkview Regional Medical Center).

Car is ready to roll though.

Anyone need some skinny's for the track this year? I'm selling my front Prostars with M/T Sportman tires. They are 15x3 1/2. They have alot of little nicks in them but would make someone a good track wheel. Tires have 1-2 seasons left. Looking to get $125.

I drove around for a little while on Friday night but didn't see anyone. It's definitely been nice enough to get the car out I hadn't drove mine since last labor day, so I was just pleased it started lol!
