Have any of you guys had a tune from Mike Norris in Indy? It looks like he has good reviews. I will be looking for tune next week for the Nova with the FI LQ9 in it.

Thanks, I have read nothing but good on some other forums. I just heard about him, & I think I will give him a call this week. I am trying to decide b/t him and Jesse Bub at wait 4 me performance.

Thanks for the input. I was leaning towards Mike. So far I have heard nothing but great things about him. He is out of town until Monday, so so maybe I can get in next week.

Norris > Bubb, imo.

Steve Williams, aka Tuned by Frost does all my tuning. Not local, though. Mail order and occassional trips here to tune. He was just a week ago, so won't be back for a while.

Anyone have a scale I can weigh my 240 on so I can get an idea of how much I gain when I decide to put a real engine setup in it

If you go to the truck stop at Colusium and 30, the have a scale to give you your weight. I think it costs around $4.

I think I did it last year and I can't remember exactly how much it cost but it was at least $12 but no more than $20. I wanna say it was like $18.

New floormats for the FC:

I'm about 25% done with the new 4 link rear. The torque converter showed up from PTC last week (really big fan of these guys so far, great to deal with). Going to order the transmission from Rossler as soon as the rear end is done.

Hoping to be back out by August. Zoom zoom.

Fixed it, apparently I can't hotlink off the other forum.

Yeah, it's nothing fancy, just a mid-range glide.

FWIW, I realize the rear setup I have is far from a competitive performance setup. This car is just a street toy, I have no intentions to play with the big boys with this one.

It should have quite a bit more haul-*** than the old setup.

You're going the wrong direction J-Rod.

I finished the rear floor and chassis side work on the FC last night. Now I need to rebuild the rear with the 3.08 gears, weld the tubes and probably some bracing, paint/carpet the new rear floors in the car and get it reassembled. Parts are all ordered at least.

Then I just need some cash for the tranny/shifter/driveshaft and it should be ready to take back out and see what good the changes were. I should also be losing about 100 lbs out of the chassis with this round of tweaks, as well as bringing about 50 lbs from forward of the rear wheels to aft of them. Hopefully this all helps hook.
