actually rpm as done wonders for me, the tranny mount broke along with the tailshaft housing probably due to the stock steel driveshaft and u joints with 90k mi. they replaced the housing, pulled the tranny apart everything looked great. now all they need is a drive shaft to test it out. Drew and bob @epp gave me a killer deal on a PST alum driveshaft and to top it off will be dropping it off for me thurs. As long as when they get the shaft in and everythings good ill have less than 500 in the whole deal with tow bill gas and trailer....im not bitchin just ready to race and smoke cigarettes lol

Hell, good luck getting any bank to pay for something over 10 years old. I was lucky to get a loan out for my eagle talon since its over 15 years old. At least I got a decent interest rate on it. Your gonna miss the turbo Beast.

It weighs 2920 with me NOT in it. The funny thing is, that's heavy for an RX-7. With me in it I think it would be probably high 3100's.

Doug,

Glad to hear it wasn't anything TOO serious. And I'm also glad we could help you out. We'll get her down there tomorrow and she'll be in fighting shape soon enough.

Beast,

It's certainly hard to sell an older modified car. That's how I picked up my Scooby. I think it was on the market for...3 or 4 months because everyone who saw it loved it, but no one could get a loan. Here's to paying in 1 lump sum. Just don't think I'll be able to pull it off on a C6. Don't worry man, I have faith in Ohio Boy!

Ben,

Just saw you had a Digi SLR. What'cha got? I rock a Canon Rebel XT...a little old but still a solid camera all around. I would love to get a D40 but....no munniez.

Edit: Now that I think about it, you had quit abit of stuff removed, just surprised it weighs that much, still lighter than an F-body though!!

Drew's RX7 is the heaviest possible model 2nd Gen RX7 ever made.

Power EVERYTHING, full leather, A/C, extra sound deadening, special glass, SPRAYERS FOR THE HEADLIGHTS, etc.

We've removed the windshield sprayers, headlight sprayers and A/C compressor, that's it. It's heavy (relatively speaking).

Mine should be around ~2700-2750 without me in it, or ~2900-2950 with me in it (yay for diets!).

My old car was ~2650 with the iron block.

In related news, I've got the car at the office today, going to go by the BMV in New Haven (Pine Valley sucks!) and get it plated today, so that I can drive it without (well, with less) fear of police harassment...

Oh, guys...watch out for a current gen Mustang GT that's maroon in color with tint all around. It's a cop that prowls around here...last night I saw him pull some poor sonuvabitch over in a white 4th gen z28. He was sitting outside the old hot-n-now or whatever it used to be called on jefferson...across from midas and close to times corners/coventry square. It looked like he just wanted to pull out but he was sitting there clocking people. Hard to see the lights on him until he lights 'em up. Be weary, fellas.

EDIT: Holy ****, that car got smacked around hard. What hit it, a dump truck?

You know you've been doing LS1/RX7 swaps too long when you see a wrecked F-Body and the very first thing to hit your mind is "donor car!".

Seriously though, that sucks to see, that was a nice car.

Hey Drew (or anyone else), want a set of Professional Products fuel rails? My Typhoon intake came with a set, and I already have a set... don't really need two sets of fuel rails. They're complete with fittings and crossover... I think they go for ~110 new, so, say 70 bucks?

If anyone wants them, let me know. I can bring them up to Hall's next weekend (in Indy this weekend).

Oh, and Zach, I put the nitrous kit in my passenger seat. I should be up for a bit Friday if you're around.

Was a beautiful car until it gets hit. I doubt it will be able to be fixed. I voted for him to get a new car and salvage what he can.
