Update:

Got started on my brake swap tonight. Swapping out for C5 brakes. The dual piston aluminum calipers, 13" rotors. A far cry from the single piston steel caliper, 10.5 rotor setup that came factory on a 92 sports car.....

One side is almost done. Just need new banjo bolts. Took about an hour and a half. Hope to do the other tomm. night bleed them, and HOPEFULLY they'll work well and I'll feel a difference. I've got some pictures, and I'll try to upload them sunday when I'm done.

That car just is becoming more and more mean. Its going to be nice to stop as fast as you go. Do you know about how much weight it is saving you going from your old setup from to the new? I'd imagine at least a few pound...nothing crazy, but at least a few.

Done,

Finished up this afternoon a few hours ahead of schedule.

Pics show comparison of old vs new brakes,
and pic of new brake inside of the rim, 17" rim.
Bled everything and took it for a test run, and was happy with the results.
Looking forward to the cruise.

02BeaugusWS6,

I am not sure who owns a Red LT1. There was a kid on here that had one, but I can't remember is screen name or real name for that matter. My buddy Eric had a Red LT1, but he sold it. By the way, I have a 02 NBM WS6, so if you see my going around W. Lafayette or the area, wave.

123clemans,

I won't be able to get to the dragway on the 21st. I will still be on Spring Break.

Hope you have fun.

I think I am going to plan to do this cruise on April 18th. Does this work for everyone? I'm going to make a new post to hopefully get generate some activity on it.

I'm down for a cruise. Off the top of my head I dont recall having anything then. By the way if any of you guys are on PAPA and want to dyno your car the weekend after spring break we are all heading down the crawfordsville to dyno. It's only 30 bucks so if your a part of PAPA you should check it out.

Question

Does anybody recall the guys name that cruised with us last fall that drove the RED mid 90's LT1 Z? I remember he had done some work to his and he did have a healthy exhaust note. He was out of school, and don't think he was on this board. Anyone, anyone?

Nate,

His name was Tony. I have some of his contact information if you need to get in contact with him. Just PM me. I am going to let him know of this cruise as soon as we set in concrete what we are going to do. Just looking for a few more opinions. If anyone wants to be on a "planning committee" just shoot me your phone number in a PM and we can go from there. I could use a little help with it.

My opinion of last cruise was it was okay but if we are gonna hit the back roads I would rather do it aggressively. Nothing better than ripping through some corners on a senic route. Nothing too crazy but I would probably say the best time ever was down in Lousiville with people from all over we had like 15-20 fbodys and we just tore up some roads in the hills and it was a blast.

Not to many curvy swervy type roads here in Central Indiana..... The interstate not do it for you on being able to get shitty with your car?? What are you looking to do? You wanting to get some good runs with people at diff speeds or you just wanting to really take it to some corners? The only curvy spots I know of are short in length, a mile or two, and heavily patrolled with low MPH. I actually lived in Southern Indiana for about 2 years, and know what kind of curvy, knobby roads your use to. I use to drive up and down the ohio ALL day..... Great views, streams, limestone walls, huge tree's.... the T-tops out.....

Anybody been out cruising much yet?

Nate,

I'm with you. It is fairly hard to find a good curvy road. I am happy on any road if I have a pack of F-Body's to roll with. 5 mph with them stacked 15 deep is more fun than running solo on the highway to me. I'm happy that we have a group of guys here that actually want to drive them and get out there compared to the groups that usually just go to park. I think we're a little unique and its cool.

sgm98ws6,

I have a thread going that I see has now made it to the second page. I'm going to bump it up here with an update, but in case you don't see it, we are trying to get together on April 18th for a cruise. Its open to all people, and it would be awesome if you could make it. I would love to see that cars of yours. I use to have a Formula, and I really miss it. I think the WS6 Formulas are the most gorgeous 4th gens, so I really hope you can make it.
