HAHAHAHA, i became pretty good friends with val right before he left. and hell i never knew shannon even left the honor guard damn. lol. and hyde that f*cker. lmao hes defintealy a different type of guy. good guy though has helped me out a few times

Val was a badass, sailed through here and school and is at HITRON Jacksonville. Hyde got kicked from school for some reason, I think he got a big white one. Shannon just left here last week, headed to school.....

damn yea i got up with val when i was in the HG still when we went down south. but hyde got kicked out cause he failed to many test i believe and they gave him a board and asked if he could go amt what else would he like to do and he said DC i think. so they were like ok good. when i had my board. i told them that if i couldnt me AMT then just kick me out of the coast guard cause i didnt wanna do anything else but AMT. so august 14th youll see David Hutchison back on the AMT list

no what really really freaking sucks is my dumbass had a seat in a class last year. and i pissed that away. but hopefully all works out right and im gonna strike BM just to pin something on. i mean hell i can get BM3 just for showing up to work and starting the boats. lmao. jp. but im gonna just strike something to pin some crows on and hopefully i can just wait the list out at my station. casue if they dont let me go back to aviation after i strike. im gonna say to hell with it get out at my 6 year mark. (Sept 5 2012) And go with plan B ...... Police....

mmm... BM is not the crayon and scribble test that it once was, you are gonna have some mo-boards, plotting, and some actual studying to do.
That said, keep an open mind if you do it. I was a BM3 before changing rate. They dont have to let you change, and the chance ids less if the rate does not really need people.
On the other hand, I had an absolute blast when I was stationed at Little Creek (virginia beach) VA, as a BM3. I just ended up with a horrible unit after that, and that encouraged me to change. I'm very happy as an AMT, best decision ever, but there are other cool jobs and units in the guard.
If I had not been at that miserable unit, and stayed at Little Creek.....I would likely be a BM1 by now......easily, and happy about it.

well ive been in for almost 3.5 years. im BTM qualed. Ice Rescue Qualed (being in Michigan) working on my Crew member. and after that im gonna try and be a ATON Coxswain on the TANB ('26) Then im gonna go for BM3. and just for me not to be cocky or anything like that. but i grew up on boats. i didnt join the service to be retaught what i already know. and when i saw aviation i was like damn if i cant do that then i dont wanna be in the coast guard. and thats what i told the Capt at Eliz. City, ATTC. so if they say i cant do it. ill finish my time in service at Stant Muskegon, Mi get out take a month or two off from having responsibility lol and then jump into the academy for police or try a federal agency. and where a badass tux around with a cool ear piece like Mr. Anderson off the Matrix. lmao
