well ive been in for almost 3.5 years. im BTM qualed. Ice Rescue Qualed (being in Michigan) working on my Crew member. and after that im gonna try and be a ATON Coxswain on the TANB ('26) Then im gonna go for BM3. and just for me not to be cocky or anything like that. but i grew up on boats. i didnt join the service to be retaught what i already know. and when i saw aviation i was like damn if i cant do that then i dont wanna be in the coast guard. and thats what i told the Capt at Eliz. City, ATTC. so if they say i cant do it. ill finish my time in service at Stant Muskegon, Mi get out take a month or two off from having responsibility lol and then jump into the academy for police or try a federal agency. and where a badass tux around with a cool ear piece like Mr. Anderson off the Matrix. lmao

hahaha. ME is a longer wait then AMT is. unless i struck BM waited it out a year or so then tried to lateral over. im not really sure. i just got outta BTM C school last week. have had this last week off on leave and when i get back im gonna sit down with my BM1 XPO (BM1) And OinC (BMC) and see what they think should be the best route for me.

That it is, but it won't be that bad in time though. They are going to shut it down, then realize that in the next year they need AMTs and AETs again which will make it go critical yet again. People are still getting out after their initial tour out of either school. The AMT school list will probably shrink though. People are going to get scared, not wanting to wait for A School and jump ship to another rate A School I assure you.
Dave I transferred up here in 2009, Kodiak is only a 2 year tour if you don't have dependants. Even though I got 3 years but I am going to get that changed. Hopefully...

so does that mean a certain AET2 will be making AET1 anytime soon? and if i do go back to Ecity well when. and if by some chance i get stationed there. im moving in and damn were gonna need a big garage. the 99, the 01, the Z06. my 92 and i might be getting another 91 this spring lol

We'll see, I am in no hurry to make first. I like just right where I'm at right now AET2. I am getting cussed at for not taking the AET1 test though. Going to take it in the fall.

Lets go ahead and bump this up. anybody get word on their orders or where they are going within the next couple months? any vids on the cars? anything somewhat important from my fellow coasties out there? im tired of going through the military thread and seeing all the damn grunts and jarheads and all their postings.

Not a coastie at the moment, trying to get through the process but being told its full already!? Do have a cousin who is a Captain down in Miami, though, he's been trying to help me through it all. Hopefully it all works out ha.

prolly not gonna happen man we are going through a recession if you wanna call it that. they are handing out retirements like candy and whatnot to cut down on how many people we have.

Stationed at STA Point Allerton, Ma (Just outside boston) Orginally from Cape Coral FL and sent to this ICE prison lol
Been in since Feb 3rd 2009, so just over a year. On the GM-A list. Whats good guys?

I don't want to hear squat about ice prison, I'm in Kodiak Alaska... The frozen butthole of the planet, possibly the universe. Can't complain too much, this place is awesome when the sun is out whenever that happens. Not saying the sun never comes up but it rains here constantly.
