Applying to be a MTI So I'm going to apply to be a TI. There's a meeting on the 25th and I'll get to meet with the MTI recruiters and see what its all about. I'm pretty excited!! Yes I know about the high devorce rate, long hours and all that ****. I meet all the criteria for it. I just have to be accepted.. one thing I found kinda weird is that you don't go TDY for the Tech School. You straight pack your **** and PCS there then go to the tech school.
Anyway this was long time comming. In July I will be here at Moody for 7 years.. I'm ready to go considering I've had a good list on overseas bases on my dream sheet for the past year and have yet to be picked up.
If anyone has some good input by all means.

chew some good old american ***!! but look back and remember what it was like when you were there. 7years on station! holly heck, i thought only us X2's stayed at one base for that long!. your S.F. you'll be fine. be tough but fair....

I'm POL not SF. But thanks anyway..lol I gotta go get a psyc eval and all kinds of **** yet.. extra $375 a month too.

Well I am just waiting to re-enlist to put in a package to become one. I waiting for them to allow FTA that are planning to be career airmen to become MTIs. Considering last week the CMSAF just talked about how bad the AF needs them. If not I will just wait 2 and half more years.

That is total bull ****! I met that Sgt Tate guy once and he was a dick, screamed all the time, and tried to talk down to people.

how do you get placed after the school? i know you have xx amount of days to get qualified but after that do you get a flight a majority of the time? i would love to do the class room stuff or the BEAST type stuff but i would hate to have to look after a flight for 9 weeks.

Is TSgt. Martin still around there? Not sure how anyone can handle that job that long, but he was a really good MTI. Fucked me over on family time, but still a good MTI...lol

You can't go to the BEAST or to War Skills and Military Study (Academics) without doing time on the street first. I pushed flights for right at 3 years prior to going to Academics. Been there for about 2 years now. I have 3 months and a couple of weeks then I'm done and Osan AB bound as an AGE troop again.

One of my supervisors knows some other MTI down there and I guess his buddy sent him a e mail saying "done..." as in my buddy and I are accepted... just have to go through all the BS to get this thing moving.

I was dorm guard and saw him do it. He planted some fuzz on my bed then I heard him yell to get my attention, I was already looking though around the corner and then he announced i lost 2 hours of my family time...
