Yeah, this really sucks. Why I'm going to leave it at cam only and just get a built rear and tranny put in for when I go back to Florida and can get some serious **** done.

a rare F-body out here woul have to be an anniversary WS6, or 35th LE, there are a few out here, but not that many. V-6, Z28 and SS are pretty common, a Firehawk would be rare. The 2010 SS is becoming pretty common now. On local Craigslist there are a couple of SS for under $13k. A 2005 GTO on our local forum is listed for $18k, Vettes are getting common, because prices are coming down.

Good deal...
so i was browsing auto trader today for something i have really wanted..and i found one. '02 Red M6 Firehawk Vert! Clean condition, all stock. So i can mod it to my liking. I'm talking to the dealer right now, and may drive next weekend to Tennessee to get it! I'll just trade my truck for it, and maybe get another truck later on the island when i get there.
I'm stoked.

I don't, other than having the VIN checked by dealership or SLP. I would say that's a pretty decent deal. There is a 98 WS6 on local Craigslist with 408 and a lot of other stuff for $13,250.

On a good note, me and my buddy drove my truck from FL to Memphis to get that Firehawk, and then i got called into work, so we turned around and drove all the way back after getting it. I left at 7am and got back to Fl 6am the next day...well today/this morning. The car is so worth it.

Thats Crazy, it seems like the whole country of Korea is sending thier troops to our squadron. I got 8 right now that were all at kunsan, and about 14 more coming. Getting to Eglin is pretty easy but leaving is hard.

Shipping to the island SUCKS!!!
I don't know how your doing household goods if your doing Korea enroute but if you get the chance, order everything you even think you'll want in Hawaii NOW and ship it in your HHG. lol

See you when you get here.

kind of off topic but were a lot of fbodies sold new in hawaii? my 95 T/A was originally sold at cutter pontiac GMC in Waipahu and supposedly only 76 firebirds and T/A's were sold there that year according to that vin decoder program that was posted here a few months back. i have no idea how many wre firebirds or formulas or trans ams.

OP congrats on the firehawk. that reminds me of a red 02 hawk that an owner of a pontiac dealer in FL had when i lived down there in 04/05 (which is also when/where i bought my T/A from the original owner who was military and bought it new in hawaii in december 94)
