Default Dying to Cross Train

I've been Security Forces for over 3 years and I despise this career field. I get treated like I have down syndrome even though I have never had a piece of paperwork and have had awards after awards and commendation. The career field is a plague of power trippin' pussies and I'm tired of being associated with it. I would love to be an aerial gunner. I am a six year enlistee so I know the window is at my 5 yr mark BUT can they make an exception if aerial gunner is still a critically manned field? Any help or comments appreciated.

ETP = 3 years for a 6 year contract for critical fields.

have you looked through all the retraining info on VMPF? you should be able to find your answer there. i'd grab it for ya but i have very limited access to mil comps since i'm currently re-training.

I'm not sure but isn't Aerial Gunner plenty manned?

I don't think you are going to get out of SF without going to another beret field, but I honestly have no idea what I'm talking about.

According to my recruiting station and many others at MEPS Aerial Gunner has plenty of people. I happened to put that and Fire Protection down. Not like it matters. I dont plan to wash out of TAC P. Just wish I could get a damn date for my PAST. Ive been ready for 3 weeks.

We have 4 guys that I work with at the Fire Dept on SJAFB that washed out of TAC-P. Seems like when they wash out they throw them into the Fire Protection career field

Security Forces is far and away the largest receptacle for TACP washouts, just like we get all the CCT/PJ washouts. **** rolls downhill.
