Default would you get out of the military to be an air marshal?

i just got a reply to my resume on clearancejobs from the TSA to be a federal air marshal. currently i'm a CTT1 with just under 8 years in service and, obviously, i've been searching around for better opportunities. i don't know a whole lot about air marshals other than they're like the police of the airline industry. it's a federal job and looks like good benefits. i'm curious if anyone can shed personnal or third person experience on this career field. thanks

hell, i could take a job as a janitor that would probably pay better than the military with a security clearance. pay isn't really the issue. i'm more concerned about the lifestyle, that's why i asked if anyone could share experience since i know there are a lot of LE types roaming this forum.

I don't know much about air marshals, besides the fact that they take random flights dressed as civilians, and carry guns. Passengers don't even know when there's air marshals on board. I think I read somewhere that out of every 7 flights, there is one air marshall on board one of them. That is just what I have gathered though...

If I would have known the CIV world was such a PITA, I would have bitched out a captain to NOT put that Asthma stuff in my Med records in the first place.. I'd still be in. Been out for year and a half and regretting it.

When people say "Don't get out!! STAY IN!" They say it for a reason.

after doing more research it turns out i'd be making about the same as i am now, but i'd probably be gone twice as much. this would be a great career for a single man/woman, but i have a family. and just to be straight, i never said i didn't like the military, quite the opposite really. i'm just exploring other options and this one seemed alright until i searched around a bit more. but like i said it'd be a great opp for the single people.
