I read about a regulation change in the Army Times making PT test no longer a requirement to register, attend or graduate NCOES courses. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where I might find it. Any help would be appreciated.

To the best of my knowledge you still have to take one while you are there. However if you do not pass, you WILL NOT fail the course.
You will however get a (Marginal) 1059 that is has an annotation that states you didnt meet the physical fitness standards.
This will effect you later down the road, when shooting for positions of command. From what I'm tracking you will never make CSM and SGM will be a long shot with a marginal 1059. But if you do make SGM , CSM will never happen.
I'll look for something more official throughout the day.

when I went through WLC a year ago, the cadre mentioned that.
They said its the units responsibility now. They shouldnt send someone who cannot pass a PT test. Like that **** is going to work. He OPs guy, can you 'hand-jam' this score card? thanks

I worked in the training and schools section in my last unit. WLC does not require a PT test to be taken while at school anymore. However your company, BN, and all the way up to G3 will generally need to see a PT card within 30 days of locking you in for the school.
However, if you can't pass a PT test and you're flagged properly, you shouldn't be going to school anyway.
Why take a test at the school when my unit wouldn't or couldn't have sent me unless I could pass a PT test in the first place? On the other hand, I'm good at PT so I used to stand out after I took one. Let the fatties go and fail so I can smoke their asses and be more competitive in my MOS.
You will do height and weight and need to pass tape if needed though.

I went to WLC Oct of last year after just coming back from a deployment. I had to have a Memo for the 90 day APFT thing but yes, no PT test for schools that are less than i think 30 days...could be 60 but i'm pretty sure it's 30 days. But you still have to pass Height/Weight....if you dont than you graduate Marginally. But yeah...as far as an APFT is concerned they cut that out.
