Default Car shipping companies?

searched but couldnt find anything.

Im looking for an auto shipping company to ship my T/A from wisconsin to the Navy base in San diego. I searched a few companies but dont really trust them. Is there a trucking company any of you guys used to ship a car across country that did a good job or had a good experience with? let me know ASAP.

Its not easy to find someone whom you trust. They will all tell you just what you are looking to hear inorder to get your business. In my experience, most are simply brokers and not actual drivers or trucks. Hopefully someone here can help.

I have used passport transport 3 times and would use them again. You could also look into reliable auto carriers they have the big orange trucks and are first class.

a little pricey with passport being an enclosed trailor. $1800 bucks. Clint, How much did you pay to ship your vette and how long did it take(from where to where)?

Yeah they are pricey at times. I paid 900 acouple months ago to ship it 800 miles. Back when i had my car shipped to lingenfleter it was $820. You could get a quote from the other place that i gave you they were alittle cheaper than passport.

One think i liked about passport was i had my car at lingenfelter for like 4 months getting some stuff done. I got Passport to transport it back and i got a team trucker. Well they drove from 9am to 130am straight through to get me my car and i was very happy being i never seen it for 4 months.

There are acouple other companies that i have read about on corvette forum but i never had any experience with them.

Maybe some of that $1800 is do to the fuel prices rising.

I see. Yeah passport is all enclosed. Reliable auto carriers has some open car trailers. You can get a quote on there website and they will email you back on monday. Where are you shipping the car from? Just look out for some carriers some of them only take it to there terminals and you have to go pick them up. Reliable it door to door so that is nice.

There is a company in San Diego who can help you with that. They are an international car shipping company, but they have another department downstairs for local "USA" car shipping.

i already moved about a month ago. They wouldnt let E3 and below drive there cars to california from Illinois where we were for A school. Our only option was to either drive with petty officers or fly. kinda forced to fly.

called a few companies and it seems like there backed up a few weeks so its not looking good unfortunitaly.

Whatever you do don't use Allied! I used them to ship a car I sold on ebay and those idiots left the upper deck unlocked and made my notchback Mustang into a chop top. They even had the ***** to leave the car in front of the guys house with no note or anything.
