I'm at Pope now, E-5, C-130 crew chief. I'm thinking about putting in a BOP to Moody. What do you guys think? I'm assuming there is a track there....1/8th mile? 1/4 mile? If I don't put in a BOP, there is a good chance I would end up in Little Rock, Dyess, or Cannon....none of which sound good to me. That and my g/f lives in St. Mary's, GA...about 2-3 hours ffrom Moody.

The base is good. Pretty small but a lot of new stuff and improvments to the base itself. I been here for almost 6 years and I've seen a lot of changes. Bout 9 miles from Valdosta.. lots of housing choices, sits right on I-75 so it isn't nothing to hit the road and go to FL for the weekend. They were building brand new on base housing but that was stalled and has been for the last 2 years. Probably won't happen for another year or so... haven't really heard anything. We have A-10's HH-60's and of course the 130's. The 1/4 mile track is probably a half hour away from Moody. Its a nice track you won't be dissapointed. http://www.racesgmp.com/ I'd opt for Moody as well compared to your other choices..

Thanks for the info man. It actually sounds like a pretty nice place to me. A lot of people talk smack about Moody.......but I'm at Pope now. 
Actually I'm in the dirt until sometime around October. I will probably put in a BOP for Moody around the September timeframe. There is another bunch of orders coming down for us at Pope in October with the whole BRACK thing going on, and I really don't want to end up in Little Rock. So hopefully I'll be seeing you guys within about 6-8 months or so. Here's my ride. Keep an eye out for it. It's still my daily driver.
