I never had any medals that were high up in the 5 years I was in (Marine Corps is pretty notorious for not giving out lots of medals, at least in the units I was associated with).

All I had were the following medals/ribbons -

Alot of Bronze Stars have been awarded due mostly for being of the rank and position to justify it. MOST E-7's an O-2's up get one based on the fact that they were in their position during the war. It's fucked up that some Leather polisher get's one for being of rank when the grunts and other Combat people are truelly earning their right to wear one, but don't "rate" that level of award.
