I got a fraud inlistment because of asthama, long story short i was told i could get it changed to arrouynious (SP?) does anyone know anything about how i can get it changed?

Dude,just ask for an RTD (if your already active), and then they'll be glad to forget about it.

Otherwise, they wont waste their time/money on stupid bullshit. They'll just say you cant join (if you havent been to basic yet) for a year or so.

What branch? Before you left for basic? After basic? During basic? Jeeze, if you need help you can post me info.

I think he`s trying to say that he told MEPS that he never had any problems/saw a doctor about his respitory condition and later down the road they found out this wasnt the case.

no way in hell thats a fraud enlistment. sam thing happened to my freind. never had asthma his whole life. we went to boot camp together 1 month later he dropped really bad during a 5 mile run. went to hospital and diagnosed him with asthma. med discharge

yeah, they have to prove you knew you had asthma before you joined to hit you with fraudulent enlistment. if you didn't know, then its not fraudulent. whether it gets changed or not to erronious is up to the JAG, i believe. how far along in your career are you?

Erroneous vs fraudulent? It seems you could seek legal help either within the military or maybe even from outside . Don't let them scare you.

because i had to use an inhaler when i was a kid, for allergies(don't ask why, i don't remember) the Navy blocked me from enlisting. funny thing was, i was running 35 minute 5 miles 2 years later in the army


the military is fucked up, never can tell how they're going to interpret things.

when you sign the papers to enlist the answer is always "NO" of you want to go in. Have you ever been to jail "NO" Have you ever done illegal drugs "NO" Have you ever had sex in other than the missionary position "NO"....get the picture. When you told them you used an inhaler as a kid they said "NO" to you right? If it hasn't happened in the last fifteen years or so....the answer would be a big double "NO"!! Sorry they're giving you so much sheeeit. I would think they could evaluate you and make a waiver for it if you really pushed the issue..... but then again, how serious are you about going in? I had reconstructive knee surgery before I went active duty and got a waiver for it after much talking with flight surgeon's and the like........
