Default MITT-Military transition team

I might have to head back to the middle east as part of an Army MITT (military transition team). Does anyone have anything to share about this deal?

A fellow SNCO just got back from doing one of those gig's. He said if I get the chance to do it, do it. Its all in who you are working with, the other 5-11 guys (either 6 or 12 man teams). Some get lucky and go with homebase people, others are the onsie and twosies that get thrown together and you risk having an incompetent MF on your team for 3-6 months and theres not a lot you can do about it. Good luck. And I will be trying to get one of those assignments once my reclass is over.

I was on one during OIF3 at FOB Warrior and it's a great experience and a chance to get away from your command. I trained 500 IA's on force protection and it was fun. Good job and it's helping us leave that **** hole of a country!

Enjoy it and just think, your helping us get out faster when training these IA's in whatever your gonna train them in

Just the fact of not deploying with a conventional unit and all the predeployment bs that entails makes MITT sound good.

Ok, you asked, I answered. Obviously, you didn't appreciate my humor or, lack thereof.
So,is there something specific you want to know? Or, do you just want me to say you'll have a great time and love it?

Well I am over in the middle east right now. The mission is not that hard. Its pretty much the same as when I was a drill sergeant. You have to repeat everything 100 times, check and recheck or else it will not happen.
