Im in Korea right now @ Osan. Been here since February...Yes the drinkin stories are true, Soju IS THE DEVIL!!! That crap sneaks up on and before you know it your f*CkEd up!!!!!!!!!! Just went to Kunsan alittle over a week ago for a TDY on automitive air conditioning, and let me say Osan is WAY better, seriously...Kunsan really REALLY doesn't have anything, A-town has like 15 bars, thats it atleast in Osan right when u walk out the gate theres everything right in front of you...Good bars here are(well the ones that i liked) were The Whiskey (kinda a rip of the famous Whiskey A go-go in San Fransisco), the Lions Den (laid back, very well kept clean bar) and if your in the mood to check out some juicies i'd say etheir The Stereo or The Sting....but WATCH OUT Juicies WILL try to take you for EVERY PENNY!!! I came here to save/make big payments on my car ($1000.00 a month
, lol) so i really don't go dowtown except to go to the Yahmaha store to buy guitar strings...Its a crazy place man, but if your not careful ($$$ wise) you'll loose your ***! I don't know what your AFSC is but im a 2Txxx (Vehicle maintenance) Lettme know though....anything else you got questions about i'll try to provide the best answers i can....

I don't drink, been sober for 6 1/2 years, so that's not going to be a problem. I'll watch everyone else get drunk around me.
I'm looking forward to getting the extra money to pay off bills...and a follow on to get me out of my current base.

I don't know about that. It was pretty damn wild when I was there in 97-98. More lax in your day I imagine though? One thing about Korea that I really liked was the fact that everybody partied and was pretty tight with each other from pv1 to the company comanders, pilots everybody.

Overseas things are always tighter. No families to turn to, so you rely on your mates for everything. Korea is still fun, but the days of the $20 all nighter are gone. That is what I was referring to. Back when OB beers were W750 and there were no curfews or the bullshit they have now.
