you are a retard. obviously you know nothing about the Marines.

1. I have never been able to call other marines on a first name basis.
2. Hair cuts every week are strictly enforced, hence the inspection every monday.
3. There is no "civilian like atmosphere." Being in for 5 years and being a Sgt. and now being a civilian there is a HUGE diff. so sorry.
4. I guess those 8 mile runs all the time dont count?
5. I know more air wingers that are more in shape than grunts...

Well Id like to start out by saying.... "hanus" is actually spelled heinous but judging by the rest of the ignorant comments that you made I guess it is fitting that you wouldnt know how to spell in the first place. I am friends with plenty of grunts and I know that alot of them are on a first name basis outside of work, much like a lot of wingers. So who are you trying to bullshit?
About the long *** hair, have you ever seen half the Recon guys?? They have long *** hair as well. It doesnt take a haircut to make a good Marine. And any grunt that isnt stuck up is own *** could tell you that.
Yes, PT is sometimes nonexistent in the wing. But when you are working 10 to 12 hours a day just trying to get aircraft to fly, its kind of hard to make the time. Think about it, grunts go to work for 10 to 12 hours a day as well. But they also have their PT time included in that. And how about on the boat when the wingers are working 12 to 14 hours and only getting one or two meals for the day. All the grunts have to do is go to the gym for the day and shoot some weapons off the elevator and I know for damn sure that they try to be first in line for EVERY meal.
You MIGHT be in charge of a squad/platoon in the grunts. Its your job to keep your men alive. In the wing you might have to be the one to safe an aircraft for flight. Meaning that I have to sign my name to a dotted line after maintenance is performed saying that if that bird crashes and kills your Marines and my aircrew then its MY ***. And by the way the wingers are the last people to touch your dead after they die in the zone. Ive been on many of angel flights with body bags and have had to load caskets in the back of c-5s.
Sorry we cant all be bloodthirsty war heros.

You guys are taking this way to serious. I am just joking around talking ****. I work with a lot of airwingers right now and we bust each others ***** all the time. Just like when wingers make dumb grunt jokes.

I have special powers. I read the first post and just like every other thread in this section, knew that by the time I got to the 5th one I would be reading straight bafoonery...

We all bleed the same color.....

Here is something for you to bitch about.....You would think that more of you hard charging, chest beating, freedom fighters would CAPITALIZE THE F***ING M in Marine(s). Did they stop teaching this at the Depots?

I thought I covered that in post 9 with my quote.

Also FYI, the "m" in Marine should always be capitolized.

i spent 4 1/2 years in 1/5. and i've been in the wing for about 2 1/2. and both places have their good and bad qualities. I hated being in formation 5 times or more aday for 30 min at a time or more. Listening to the Gy blab about nothing. and then listening to the SSGT reiderate <--sp everything the Gy just said.

I hate how everything is all about paperwork. you can't thrash Marines nowadays for ****** up like you used to be able to. The Corps as a whole changes every few years.

And in every unit there are Marines that are fat and on BCP. Even the 03's have their share of fat bodies.

you still have some time to go, but i would highly recommend not being 03. Pick something that closely supports them, and you'll see what i mean. i was Motor T at 1/5. and although we got our share of ****, if you're not an NCO, and sometimes even then, you get treated like straight ****. Most of what i seen, was still boot camp style or worse.

Now i am not an advocate for being soft on a Marine that's ******* up, but those infantry guys get steady fucked with.

hAhahahahhahahha

everyone knows no matter where you go motor t is the nastiest

deployments are fun, my last one was with 3/5 i liked it about ten fold out there compared to in the rear. The best part about the rear? alcohol, mexican hookers, and a good bed.

Yes, he is. Not for long though, plus he has been in and out. Getting ready to goto his next duty station. He has been with 3/5 since he got off the drill field, been a few years. Worked for him on the last deployment.
