Default Official SSGT results thread!

Which one of you E-4s/Senior Airmans made it?

After 3 tries, I finally made it. Congrats to Staff selectees! For the ones that didn't make it, try it again next year!

Made it first try, no idea what my line # is yet. I guess we had a swing shift breezeway call today(with the CC) and since I work mids I wasn't there. Good buddy on swings called and told me and the guy I'm rooming with here on the deployment both made it. Happy happy

I'm home on leave and just got a call from my Commander asking "are you tired of being a SrA..." I made Staff!!! This is a very big surprise to me, I was already happy about it being payday but damn, I really didn't expect to get a phone call from my Commander to let me know that I made Staff. Congrats to the rest of you guys who've made Staff, I don't know what my line number is but I honestly I'm just happy to have made Staff...

Congrats on all who make it!

Remember, as a (SSgt) Select you have ALL the responsibilities of an NCO, but NOt the pay!!!!

I remmeber I got my line number of like 16,000 (or something) and wouldn't sew on for 11 months, but was expected to attend ALL NCO meetings.

Call it your breaking in period...

No (S)Sgt here, which is fine by me only cuz this was my first time testing and I really don't want the NCO responsibility. Not ready for it now at 24, kinda lame sounding but its the thruth.

Congrats to all you guys that did make it tho!!!

remember to walk the straight line....it's easy to lose your line numbers, but it's alittle harder to take it off your sleeve...when I made it eons ago I had to wait 11 months to put it on...I had friends that lost their line numbers because of conduct issues or fatboy program....just a heads up....

I only took the tests once, and have no idea what I got on them. But I went to OTS a week later, so I got the pay raise anyway

You won't know that until they release the first month's line numbers to be promoted. Once that is announced for the 1st month, you can guestimate how many they are gonna promote. It's not an exact science but will give you a good "timeframe".

You can look and see last years and see what months what each line number was promoted in and get a rough idea. my line number is 4290 and I should put it on either 1 Nov or 1 Dec.
