BabyDeuce I owe you 5 bucks
Hey you were right, I got E&E, which is fine, and I talked to my recruiter and he said after a couple years if i don't like it I can cross train into something else or try to get special assignments, but I am happy with it because I will get to work on aircraft now and learn them so when I get my private pilots license I will have and Idea on how all the electronics work. Also, when I work into a degree, and I try to get into OCS, I will train into something new anyways. Thanks for all your help and I leave for basic on march 18th. I will be coming to Sheppard AFB, so I hopefully can look you up there and meet you.

have fun at basic! if its possible??? i didnt really think it was all that hard but i went prior to all of this warrior training they have yall do now.
FWIW me personally, i didnt care for basic. the reason being i dont like someone telling me what to do 24/7. but its basic, and i guess thats what its all about! i like the air force now that im doing my job, and no one is there to treat you like a little kid. its like your an actual person, again. well good luck to you, and really hope you like the job you got!

here is something I don't understand, the pulhes physical chart for e&e is 333132 and eod is 333131 and they wont let me go into eod but they will let me work on million dollar aircraft? The hearing is the same, a level 1 and that is what I scored, a H1*.
Left Ear
500hz 20
1000 30
2000 5
3000 5
4000 5
5000 5
6000 10
Right Ear
500 through 5000 5
6000 20
In the pulhes it states: This is from military.com
"H" Position - Hearing–ears (4th number in the profile series) - Auditory sensitivity and organic disease of the ears.
1 - Audiometer average level for each ear not more than 25 dB at 500, 1000, 2000 Hz with no individual level greater then 30 dB. Not over 45 dB at 4000 Hz.
2 - Audiometer average level for each ear at 500, 1000, 2000 Hz, or not more than 30 dB, with no individual level greater than 35 dB at these frequencies, and level not more than 55 dB at 4000 Hz; or audiometer level 30 dB at 500 Hz, 25 dB at 1000 and 2000 Hz, and 35 dB at 4000 Hz in better ear. (Poorer ear may be deaf.)
3 - Speech reception threshold in best ear not greater than 30 dB HL, measured with or without hearing aid; or acute or chronic ear disease.
4 - Functional level below the standards of "3."
So if I am not mistaken, I have H1 hearing, just makes but it does, I don't know why they gave me H2
can someone make sence of this.
thanks
steve

Steve,
My paypal address is..........LMAO....
Congrats on getting something close to what you wanted. I want to say that E&E is the 365th training squadron at sheppard, but I am not 100% on that one.
For once, a recruiter did not lie. You will as a first term airman be given the opportunity to cross train into a different career field. The time frame is determined by the length of your enlistment.
Looking at your chart, I read it as you have H2 hearing. This is determined by your response at the 1000hz level being 30db on the left ear. But, I may be reading it incorrectly.
disclaimer: While some may read this as being rude, I have to say this now. When you arrive at Sheppard, if you happen to run into me, I will be a much different person than you have experienced here. Unfortunately it is my job. While I do look forward to meeting you, it will be an Airman speaking with a Technical Sergeant, not 2 people that met on LS1tech. Please understand that I am bound by AETCI 36-2909(professional/unprofessional relationships) not to have any interaction with Airmen in Training(AITs) or Non Prior Service(NPS) Airmen other than supervisor to subordinate interaction.
With that said, Let me be the first to welcome you to your new life, and if I can be of assistance on a professional level, just let me know!
BTW, even though I am an avionics troop, I am an MTL for the Medical Squadron. 2002t/a06 knows who I am...damn 4N0!

I don't know what you were before you were a recruiter, but I am guessing you never had a friendly rivalry with any other job in the AF? A little ribbing is not bashing. Sorta like an avionics guy saying crew chiefs suck, and they call us pointy heads, to an outsider, it appears to be "bashing", but we all respected each other.
