Truthfully I whip out the ID anytime Im pulled over even though I had the decal and a Combat Medic sticker on the back window. Then it usually turns into a conversation of what unit you in, where did you deploy to, how many times and by the end they forget that they pulled you over.

Yeah same deal here...my cars are registered in Texas. My GNs and Z28s base decals are gonna expire in August. I think I'll just keep getting a base pass...correct me if I'm wrong but I think they expire like every 3 months. That's what my buddy does because he doesn't wanna put a decal on his M3.

Installation commanders have the last say, so have them pay your deductable for getting your car keyed.lol.

I just transferred from an AMC base to an ACC base last March and was informed they were no longer required. They were still required at the AMC base I came from.

I work at Randolph and we haven't needed them for quite a while but you have to show the ID they issue (which has encoded stuff on it) anytime you enter the base.
