Default Winter build first startup

Here a small video clip of my first startup, The car has a 6.0 LS2 shortblock with a set of ETP 5.3 heads and custom Patrick G spec'd cam. More info on the build can be found here.
https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...s2-f-body.html

The quality is not the best but then again it was filmed inside a shop with open headers so it was a bit loud, let me know what you guys think.

Nice work, just read your old thread. Did you get that leak taken care of yet? I know that had to have pissed you off big time!

I'm gonna try and tear the trans out today to fix the leak, trust me I was very pissed once I saw it but there are a lot worse things that could have happened.

Wow your car sounds really good! I'm running almost the exact same cam as you except it's a 111 +4 LSA, had Pat G spec a cam for me to. I'll be running PRC ls6 heads milled to 61cc on a 347 block with -2cc pistons through a m6 and 9inch 3.89 gear. I'm guessing your going to have your car tuned and i really would like to see the numbers since it seems like it's still going to be a month before my motor is ready. What valve springs are you running? Also i'm switching over from a MS3 too lol.

Yeah the car will be retuned once I get all the kinks worked out and get the exhaust and alignment done. You may have numbers before me though, because my tuner tunes on the street and I won't have the car on a dyno until a dyno day event I'm planning on June 27th. I'm running patriot gold duals currently that I had with my MS3 and I'm happy with them so far, just as long as they hold up I will buy them again down the road. Your combo sounds like it should move pretty good once its all done, do you have any goals for ET or HP?

When I had Pat spec my cam out for me i told him i was looking for more torque because the MS3 has no bottom end grunt, and he said this cam would have more torque at a lower rpm with also better peak HP. That's cool with me. Right now i have a set of comp 921's that i ran with the MS3 but i have been debating on going to some PAC 1518's beehive valvespings for what i understand have better harmonics. Not sure yet, since they are a single versus a double. I'm just hoping my engine guy finishes up my shortblock soon since he said it would be 3 weeks and its been going on 3 months lol.

I would do a double just for a bit of safety if anything. I had a spring break on me once and if the second spring had not been there I'm very confident the valve would have gone straight through the piston and I would have been out a motor, instead I only got a slight mark on the piston and had the valve replaced and ran it for another 2 years.

Tis true, I'll probably stick with my 921's since they're already bought and only have 5-6000 miles on them. Was going to give them to a buddy of mine but he's not going anywhere right now on his car. Which sucks since he has an APS TT kit waiting to be installed but is waiting on money to upgrade his fuel system and other things. How much were you putting down with your MS3 and do you have your stock rearend or is it aftermarket?

My car never put down good numbers on the dyno but the last time I had it up it put down 380rwhp and 365rwtq or so on a dynapack. Then a week later it put down 368rwhp after it was tuned on a mustang dyno. Rear is bone stock with 3.23 gears for now until I can afford a 9"

Lol I hope your rearend holds up better than mine did, 2-3 months after i did the H/C i sheared 2 bolts off the positrack on the street. Of course my car has a bad reputation right now for being able to break everything. I've blown out a spring on my clutch, broken the 5-6 shift fork in the tranny, and i spun a bearing about a year and a half ago since i did H/C 4 years ago. That's why I'm waiting on my motor right now, finally got the funds to rebuild it with a forged bottom end. Have you got your tranny out to fix your leak yet? Speaking of leaks lol i got to pull out an axle today on the car to see why it was leaking when the motor went kaboom.
