The cam in the car now has over 40* overlap and the brake pedal is just a little tighter on the power-assist. 233/276 @.050 , now that's a split
Have any corvette guys gone to hydro boost? I know we truck guys do the conversion and I just bought my friends truck who did that to his truck. That way you wouldn't have to worry about the power assist. When I was running my big cam I had 6" of vacuum at idle, braking was just stupid.
With that big of a cam I'd think you'd benefit from hydro boost but I know nothing of what can fit in the corvette engine bay.

Not worried, I have had it much worse, and if u had never driven the car b4 u would not realize it takes a bit more effort on the pedal. But it is the single biggest impression the 1st test drive w/ that cam left me with.

The cam in the vid eventually came to be known as the "LS7 Striker" and it idled around 950, drivability is a subjective thing, but most would not want to live w/ that in a 6 speed car. Bucking in any gear below 1600rpm unless under load (accel). Playing w/ low rpm timing is one thing, but u can't tune out overlap. However, that cam and even larger drive just fine in a stalled auto, and the bucking becomes a very mild, pleasant surge and then only when idling down the street.
