gt 500 barley beats camaro ss

Mark up on the Camaro!?
My neighbor just received his 2SS. Out the door for $35K
A friend of mine recently received his 1SS, out the door for $33K
Some random guy in my neighborhood just got his V6 RS for "under 29" and it looked like it had some dealer add-ons as well.

Dealers in TN are raping people on these cars...

The narrator of the video had it spot on.
Comparing the performance of two cars with 100+ hp discrepancy? Unless we're comparing cars over 1000 hp, ZZZzzz...
Comparing the performance of two cars with a $13k discrepancy? Unless we're comparing cars over $100k, ZZZzzz...
Watching this was similar to watching a race between a $22k 304hp V6 Camaro and a $33k 426hp V8 Camaro. Seriously, as the owner of the V8 Camaro, would you be proud of that comparison?
Comparing the bang-for-the-buck value of two cars at roughly the same price? There's a meaningful comparison with a clear winner. Ford has some ground to make up there, and for the record I hope they do.
On a quasi-related noted:
Comparing how god awful they look, they're equally ugly.

bad loss? ur nuts, its pretty bad when the only thing ford can do to compete with gm is to use boost. the gt vs the ss would be the correct matchup. n/a vs.n/a and close to the same cost. go find a vid of that and u will find a "bad loss"

Wow frank, this topic started a little heat eh? I love mustangs, don't get me wrong, and I like the camaros & trans ams.
The gt500 does cost quite a bit more than the ss, and it also handles a lot better.
As far as the people saying put a blower on the camaro, are you serious? How about we put a 6.2l in the gt500? A 5.4 vs a 6.2 hmm, can we cry about something else that would actually be a fair argument.
Not to mention the reason the gt500 didn't beat the camaro ss worse then what it did is because of the difference with launches. It spun quite a bit more.

Stock for Stock, GM will "ALWAYS" win. Its sad that Ford needed to supercharge their top dogs to pull GM's midrange car, but let's see a video of that GT500 against a Z06, where it's suppost to be, now what???!!!
