So guy with a '96-98 mustang in his avatar (one of the biggest fail mustangs ever) comes to an LSX forum to make fun of the way a guy pulls an engine. Although the way he posted is the easiest and most common way to pull the engine. Then, in a really sad sad attempted at redemption, he tries to backtrack and say it's fail because the back tires are on ramps and the owner had access to a lift. But that's so the rear bumper doesn't scrape the ground and ruin the paint, and the owner didn't have access to a lift. OP has not been heard since.

lol this is great, trys to post something and sound smart, then gets owned. This is one of the most common ways to take a engine out of a fbody I really don't see why you posted this. Must be a mustang owner...

Yea i do own a mustang but that has nothing to do with this, I was just posting something that i saw on another forum that i am with and no i dont have experience pullking a motor out of an f-body but i do know there are other ways to do it. But if you are going to do it this way my own instinct is to not put the rear in ramps but rather on jack stands, i would trust an e-brake.

I didnt come in here or post this to start **** but yet because i have a "mustang" I automatically am trying to start **** and dont know what im talking about? Not once did i say the guy in the pictures was an idiot, but to me it just isnt safe to do it that way.

I have nothing against f-bodies and didnt come to this forum and go posting away starting some stupid thread about ford vs chevy like a troll would do. And i dont know why i dont have any posts either because i usually post on the midwest part

Ignorant posts don't count . In the absence of a lift, this method works, doing in on jackstands would be even harder IMO, but I've helped do it on a rolled car in a yard if that makes you feel any better.

when you don't know what you are talking about, the best course of action is to shut-up.
removal from the bottom is a proven way in a F-body.

Depends on the people doin the motor pulling/install. My buddy & long time member on here took his motor/tranny out the top & went back in thru the top without a single issue all inside his garage with low ceiling.

I'll be pulling mine thru the top as well when its time. But I'll just be pulling the short block only.

if you would actually read then you would have noticed where I mentioned that the only thing I was talking about in those pictures was the ramps! I know there is no problem in pulling the motor/trans through the bottom

Easiest way to pull a motor without a lift... Tower bar bolted w/ chain... exactly how im goign to do it when needed except im going to use a handy auto crane to lift the car and not a engine hoist

True... I had a buddy pull his motor/tranny from the top also.. Although I doubt it is easier than going from the bottom.. Preference I suppose.

that is a blatant LIE to cover your *** for such a stupid comment/thread...the ramps arent even that big of a deal

it is pretty obvious that you thought it was weird/wrong to go out from the bottom and thats why you said what you said and how you said it...then when there was a ramp comment you latched onto that to cover your ignorant ***...

yeah there's nothing wrong with that picture, whoever thinks that is an idiot.

That's how you pull a motor on an fbody, i just did mine this past weekend, Only thing i did diff was i didnt have to lift the front end that high and i put jackstands as close to the rear housing on the axle as a pivot point and had someone watching them while we raised the front to make sure they didnt slip.
