that was a pretty nice move. not to Hi-Jack the thread but at one point a city officer pulled me over around midnight and said i was going 55mph in a 45mph. pretty much told me i wasted my money buying a radar detector(i had the escort 9500i) and told me to call my parents to come to the scene. so i go along with it, i got out of the car and nicely asked him to see the radar (i asked 3-4x's). by that time my parents arrive and they told them what has happend. my dad asked to also see the radar, officer told all of us their wasnt going to be anything shown. at the end of the night the officer told my parents they had 2 choices. A) I go to jail, ticket, and the car gets driven home. B) I go home, ticket, and the car gets towed. we were all like wtf?
needless to say i got a lawyer by the court date and i met that cop in court
. He told the judge what happend with the officer and dropped the ticket.

my dad was in front driving a aston martin DB9 and got nailed for doing 105..it was black with limo tints. same with this car..so it looked highly suspicious i bet. Anyway, i was blowing by a ton of people on the highway for 8 hours straight. at one point i was going over 150 mph in wyoming for a looooooong time. like 20 minutes. Was in nebraska for a while and some jackass was going the speed limit on front of me and in the lane next to him, so i simply blew by them on the shoulder and half on the grass median..i found out he called 911 and said i was driving like a maniac. The cop never said anything about it though..

i think he did a great job
there was NO REASON to call for a dog period we are not under **** rule and i hope we will never be
the law enforencement biz has turned in to how many tickets can you give and how much $$ can u generate....and they say they dont have a quota my A**
just notice how many are out at the start of the month and towards the end???
im sure ill get a bunch of crap about if it wasnt for them blah blah blah
but i dont care wats wrong is wrong
kinda like saying well the priest that molested your kids.... he isnt all that bad... he did hold sunday school for alot of other kids!!!!

Comparing a priest molesting children and cops giving tickets is completely absurd. I am a police officer in Philadelphia and I will tell everyone the same thing there is absolutely no quota for tickets at all. General public can think what they want but anyone who is a cop or knows cops know there isnt a quota. I only give tickets to people who are complete asses and then they are the ones like "F the cops they just ticketed me to reach their quota" it had nothing to do with them having an attitude or cursing us out
I agree that maybe the cop calling for the k9 was a little over the top BUT at the same time ls2pontiac admitted to driving over 140mph on what seems to be described as a high traffic area. And on top of all of that he "blew by" two people DOING THE SPEED LIMIT and was half on the grass and on the median. But that is ok right?
People like you are the ones who give us a bad name as sports car enthusiasts/drivers. To speed or go fast on a track or on a highway where there are no cars is one thing but to dso it when there is obvious traffic and then to basically brag about it you should be lucky all you got was the dog search or the warning the cop gave you. Seriously grow up

honestly your right 99% of the time but that has nothing to do with quotas. Do you know any cops? Has anyone told you there is a quota? Im gonna go out on a limb and think your anwers are no to those questions so why do you still think there is a quota?
If you write a ticket and someone fights it the cop MAY get court which is overtinme so maybe that is why some cops are ticket happy but again there is no quota.
We have to fill out an activity sheet at the end of the shift. The captain says he wants "activity" so on these sheets are 1-arrests 2-car stops 3-ped stops 4-radio calls no where on them is a place for tickets because they dont really count as activity and no one really cares about them as long as your giving them those other 4 pieces of activity.
I could pull 5 cars over in a shift and not give a single ticket and another officer could have 2 car stops with 10 tickets total i GUARUNTEE the captain would like my activity more. There just is no quota system in Philadelphia or in any other department that i have talked to people in. So let me know if you know something that i dont.

Well, maybe your town doesnt do the quotas, but i can say first hand, my uncle was a cop and he said the state would send letters to their department congratulating them on the amount of speeders stopped...and said the would be sending out a bonus at the end of the year if they made it over a ridiculous amount. They never made that "quota" anyway, but still. The bonus was supposed to be something like $50,000.
And you have a hell of a job being a cop in philly, as long as you dont sit and do traffic stops all day i have respect for you..but if all you do is sit and write tickets, sorry, you don't get any respect from me

You sound like a good cop ls1ssws6. A lot of people have bad experiences with police, and think all cops are the same. I have had a couple of bad experiences with cops, but I admit when I am in the wrong.
Too bad they didn't catch you in action OP. Did you want props or what? I would have been on your side, until you started talking about what you were doing prior to being pulled over.

And no I dont do traffic stops all day but I do my fare share because you can get good things out of traffic stops. 9 out of 10 i let people go with warnings and no tickets.
I have been on for little over 8 months and have already had 4 stolen car arrests, a site rape arrest, 5 guns out of criminals hands and countless drugs off the streets. So i think that speaks for itsself, im not trying to brag but that is how i do my job. So i dont really care if i have your respect because i know i am doing a good job and making peoples lives easier and safer in the process, no offence.
I just got mad at the post you made about the 150mph thing because i just think its WAY over the top. I mean have i sped in my trans an yes, have i sped on my motorcycle yes. Gone over 100, absolutely BUT it has always been on a road where there are little to no cars and if i crash 99% i will be the only one getting physically hurt. But going 150 on the shoulder/grass median is just rediculous. You know the shoulder is for emergencies right? So what if a family was pulled over for some reason on the shoulder when you decided to go 150 and didnt have time to react to avoid them? Just saying....

i wasnt going 150 on the shoulder, more like 95 or so, just to pass the slow *****. Im not stupid like that...and yes, the road that i was on was a back highway, and i think i passed 1 or 2 cars in 30 miles, so i just held the gas down to the floor 
. i figured at that speed if i were to get clocked i would probably not even lift off the gas to begin with..you are going to jail either way.
i think this is fair to say 110mph average cruising speed is safe...
