Yeah if the cops get close enough to read your tag they dont need to chase you. At some point you will go home...


What wouldve been funnier is if the cop had bumped him out of control into the concrete barrier.

that is def. not staged.. cops are not allowed to chase you over a certain speed limit in some cities.. it becomes a risk

Yes i understand that...but with the amount of time the cop was "chasing" him do not think he would have radioed in for back up..regardless of the speed or not. Seems like they were in the middle of a town/city.. i would expect they would have more then one cop working at that time..

Not staged. There are often very great distances between highway patrol cops. And that was no where near a long enough chase for another cop to catch up (if say the nearest one was behind the chase anyway).

Sure you can't outrun a radio, but you can outrun them getting into position. As this guy did. I am sure if he stayed on the highway for another ten minutes he would have ran into another one, then quickly passed him and the outcome would have still been the same.

I think anyone doing this and exposing it on youtube is a toolbag and should off himself immediately. They're only incouraging other idiots to try the same thing thinking they are certainly going to get away until they slam into a minivan hauling a family home.

ya the way it works here in austin.. the only thing that can warrant a chase now would be felony situations such as someone killed someone and is fleeing.. etc.. otherwise if you dont pull over and are going an excessive speed they will let you go
