Any chance of getting a shot of those from the back of the car with both tires in the field of view? They look sticky...

yeah, i wonder how those will compare/exceed the 555R

i thought these were supposed to be more of a handling type tire, at least the NT05 regular was i thought.

Yeah MT are kings of stick. But MTs aren't great for wet weather. But then again, either are Nittos.

I need a stick drag radial that can handle wet weather too.

its one or the other. do do well in wet weather ur going to need more groves in the tire, and give up grip area. if u want grip u loose the extra grooves.

the old Nittos i think were the best for wet weather, but not the best at the track. The M/Ts were the complete opposite, best at the track, but not so much in the wet.

Yeah... I am probably going to get 555s. What's the difference between the two versions? I know one is more made for drag radial type usage correct?

Not really sure if they changed the rubber compound but they are both drag radials. They have a regular NT05 which is the autocross version, but there is a bid thread in the tires and wheels section talking all about these tires.

Hmmm

Traction rating 555R = A
Treadwear = 100

Traction rating NT05R= B
Treadwear = 00

So does that mean they stick less but wear quicker?

Well, they work good in the dry, but the rain they suck. My buddy drove them today in the rain and he said they were bad on the freeway but ok on the city streets.
