Default 4 inch exhaust, over the axle with Flowmaster.....pics and sound clips!

sorry, the quality sucks, especially on the videos. I recently ditched my 2.5 spiral flo duals for a 4 inch exhaust. Sounds much more deep and powerful. I bought this used, and this exhaust has been whored on 6-7 different cars, so its messy looking, but 100% functional with no leaks. And who cars how it looks, its under the car lol. So here's my exhaust adventure..

Express Lube Labratory

welding powerstance

As you can see....tight fit, looks sloppy, and had to re-cut a bunch of stuff and massage some metal. Not pretty at all, but gets it done, and so far no leaks. We had to completely redo the Y-pipe before the merge as well. My dad owns a muffler shop so it's ncie having access to all this stuff, plus he is a big help to me!

Looks like a flippin sewer pipe

Sounds great, and with that size, you shouldn't have to worry about upgrading.

I didn't have a crimp on mine over the axle and I'm lowered beyond the sportline height. Did you weld the whole thing in?! Or am I seeing things? Sounds good.

i also have a 4 inch system on my turbo ls1 its 4 inch from the turbo all the way back with a bullet muffler at the tip. i also have a E cut out upfront and the funny thing is it makes the same power open or closed so the 4 inch is definitely plenty of flow.

Yep, it's all welded in. Where it went over the axle, there was no clearance over the panhard bar, it was hitting. No big deal though, I'm sure it's not affecting anything. Could you post pics of yours?

No clue to tell you the truth, I'll take a look later.

Nothing wrong with it either....my family owns an exhaust shop, so its no problem to cut it off an re-weld it if I ever have to. At least welded all the way, I dont have any exhaust leaks at all. Every clamp I've used, even the ncie band clamps, they have have a slight leak.

Sounds good.....

Just showing some Flowmaster luv........

This is a 1 chamber race series Flow dumped where urs is. Only a 2.5 in. off-road Y and 3in though. Wish I had 4in. at the time! This setup eventually turned into single 4in dumped b4 the axle w/ a dynomax race bullet. That sounded KILLER.

Not sure on that.....I don't even know if Flowmaster sells a 4 inch catback for our cars, I'm almost certain they don't but I could be wrong.

Appreciate it! I wish this exhaust would have been a virgin, but it's been on a ton of cars already and thats what ya get when each car is slightly different. I appreciate the compliments though, now I just hafta keep people from looking under my car!

This is by far the favorite of all the setups I have had!
