here's the explanation
Some friends of mine went muddin in our friends 2500 duramax friday and fucked some **** up lol. Nailed a mud pit where the entire front of the duramax sunk and was done for. Our friends bronco tried to pull him out and ripped the broncos bumper off. Then my friend tried with his 08 wrangler with a 6" lift and 37s. He has a bad *** wench on it that burnt up trying to get the duramax out. A few other trucks tried without any progress so they called AAA. A 6500 flatbed showed up and went down the trail to get to the truck. He barried his bed in the mud and started pulling. The back of the duramax lifted up and the front end was drug out of the whole lol.
After the truck was out they tried to drive it away but it was running like **** and died. So they call me the next day to come tow it to our friends shop. I get out there and his truck is too high for me and I didn't want to dent my roll pan so my buddy says "lets get my vette I'll tow the damn thing" lol We get back and he straps it to his rear sway bar and goes at it. The vette started walking sideways trying to get it to move and IT WORKED! He was able to tow it all the way to the shop without problems. I have a video I'll try to upload of it.
When we go the truck to the shop I jumped it off my truck and after a few tries it started but was running rough. I couldn't really tell if there was a bad air leak or a knock (yea I normally know the difference but this was weird). The engine sucked up a bunch of water which I think is still in the engine. Also he's leaking tranny fluid from somewhere...its messed up bad.
Enough talking and onto the pics and vid.
Yes its full of sand and mud...

LOL that's pretty cool, reminds me of the time my brother towed my cts v with his c5 when my cv joint broke. He only towed me off the freeway to the nearest gas station and his car was starting to overheat.

wow. i wouldn't have tied it to the bar though. rear cradle maybe but still. Where is the exhaust on the Vette? Cause if that's the base exhaust that would be a white FRC not Z06. maybe it's just the pics but i'd say from the pics that's what it appears to be.

good question. I wasn't there when AAA was so I guess he thought he could drive the truck off and told them to leave.
There is not exhaust period on the z06 from my understanding. Apparently one night he got drunk and unbolted half his headers, lost the bolts, and decided to completely take everything off. Sounds like crap but it was going to happen sooner or later. He's unbolted the exhaust on every vehicle hes owned and put it through more crap then it should endure.

These good 'ole' country boys get it in their heads that their truck can go through anything and then this happens, All I can do is sit back and laugh. Tough luck, maybe lay off on going "too deep" into the trail
