Default EPS cam idle video

I came across these 3 videos of a pewter 4th gen SS with an EPS cam. Emailed the poster of the videos to find out what the specs of the cam are- no response. I was wondering if anyone knows who's car this is or more specifically what cam is in it? Check out the videos- Sounds sick!!

Discovered that B02SS is the "mystery man" behind that sweet SS. I told him that it is definately one of the best sounding cams i've hard for a daily driver. No "hunting" or surging idle characteristics (partially accredited to the tune)and just enough lope to let innocent bystanders know it packs a punch. Kudos to Geoff @ EPS for a great product, can't wait to get mine up and running!

Ya its a custom ORY my friend and I built. 3" into a 3.5" flowmaster merge to a 3.5" cutout back to the factory slp dual dual. Cam is a custom BRE 224

Cutout open!

Yup I did a 5 angle valve job to them and had them milled .020" to bring the compression to 11:1 (62 cc chamber). Great budget setup, just ported a fast 78mm intake to 85mm and I will be adding an underdrive pulley. Hoping for 430 rwhp / 400 tq out of my little non ported budget build!

I am doing a budget build as well, even tighter budget though. I thought about doing the valve job to my 243's but didn't. And i'm still running the LS6 intake. I'm hoping for 430rwhp out of my setup with the EPS cam i've got. I'm sure 430rwhp is entirely possible with your setup. Great build!

My whole car has been cheap. $400 for the heads, $50 to have them milled, $180 ebay headers. Did the 5 angle valve job myself and I bought the fast 78 for $300 after selling my LS6 for $300. $30 manual cutout, cost of materials for welding up the Y pipe etc etc. The only real expense was hptuners and a wideband + tons of time reading about tuning.

Great job man, one of the best budget builds I've seen. Looks like you've addressed all the essentials to enable great power levels. How was your experience with using hptuners? Did you have any experience using it prior to this?

HPtuners has been one of the best mods for my car. It's not a quick and easy thing though. If you have a decent understanding of EFI and the mechanics of engines anyone can play with it. It has a steep learning curve with no real instruction manual. I've spent 100's of hours reading the forums and tuning my car. I tune it exactly how I want it to run, I've learned a lot and it has also opened up options for tuning other cars

Also being in Washington state we don't really have too many reputable LSx tuners. I hardly trust anyone to touch my cars, but I know if I was near some of the great east coast speed shops I would not hesitate to let them tune my car.

Good insight. I hope to get hptuners for my ride at some point. But at the moment, it is more cost efficient to have it tuned for my build configuration. I have a good knowledge of EFI principals (went to school for it, and have done a good bit of troubleshooting) and mechanics, so once I learn the software I don't think i'd have too much trouble. Although, tuning and viewing/troubleshooting EFI data are 2 different mindsets- so there will definately be a learning curve of some sort.
Good luck to you on procuring some leads for tuning other cars.
