no not in SC, they are in IL. They are having the transmission completely overhauled and strengthened by Shep. The turbos they are using for the test fitting, 750r's, spool fairly well for larger turbos. There is a larger thread over on Evom.net about this build. I will find the link and post it here

Ditto... Gone are the days of calipers, and scales, and rulers...modeling everything in CAD by hand... Now you just give it a start point, touch everywhere you can and let the computer do its thing. GREAT technology for building tight fitting turbo kits and brackets and parts IMO.

AMS does some amazing stuff. That GTR is bound to be pretty crazy when they are finished with it.

They plan on entering their drag EVO in this spring's Texas Mile also. Should be interesting to see how fast they can get their brick moving.

From another 3D drafting person and someone who works in the Engineering department, I fully agree. Thank god for technology. We have that kind of equipment in our Quality Assurance department here at work.

A car that runs 8.40's in the 1/4 shouldnt be considered a brick

By brick, I was referring to its aerodynamic qualities.
Their drag car is a beast has nothing but my respect.
They plan on wringing even more power out of it before they run in the spring.

They have pretty good aerodynamic qualities. Fully functional underbody tray to direct cool air to the brake rotors, functional hood vent to release high pressure from the engine compartment and to evacuate underhood temperatures, functional rear wing that creates noticable downforce at speeds greater than 70 mph and higher, and with the VG install on the roof, the wing is even more effiecent. Smaller than normal side mirrors to reduce drag.
