Jeremy get's on my nerves sometimes with his complaints about some cars. I understand that american cars don't have that same build quality as european cars but damn he complains about it won't handle and all he knows is how to use the gas pedal like a on/off switch. You don't drift through a turn to go the fastest damnit!

Jeremy doesn't know how to drive anything that doesn't have TCS and STM.

He does make a valid point though, the R8 is an easy car to drive fast around the corners, the ZR-1 requires skill. I always liked that about most cars though, something that will always take corners flawlessly every time would get boring after a while.

I'd mob either.

Cool, hadn't seen that one yet. I would take either one but if I had to spend my own money I'd buy an older 4.2L R8. Those cars are just sooooo sexy to me.
Glad clarkson still likes the ZR1 though...kinda.

You have to remember, they show is purely for entertainment. I think Jeremy is funny at times and acknowledge his hatred for american made cars. But he does have a point.

IIRC he bought the Ford GT after test driving it. Not sure if he still has it though.

Cool vid OP.

I don't want a car my mom can throw into a turn at 80mph, I want something that requires concentration...gets the blood going, if I want easy, I'll get a Honda Accord

X2. Z21 dominates performance wise... but the R8 is just SOOO pretty.... I've never driven either however (I've putted around the lot at work in a few ZR1s)

Zr1 outpowers many cars that are twice the price. If I wanted a car that have 10 thousand gizmos that will save my *** then I would buy a audi. If I want raw power on the edge handling then I want a vette. Anybody remember the c6r or c5r? corvettes with a little messaging can out handle anything with two wheel drive. Now a 900 Hp evo that is a differant question.

I love both cars but for my money i would take the audi, it simply looks beautiful and yes i acknowledge the fast that it is MUCH slower in a straight line.

For the money, R8, no doubt. At the end of the day, that is a $100k Chevy, that's hard to swallow.

Right. Because a $180K Volkswagen makes more sense.

Hahahahaha! I'd def take the ZR1 because the car is badass. Plain and simple. If i wanted something more luxurious i'd opt for something like a cts-v
