A lot of states need more tracks that are closer to town, that will cut down on some street racing IMO.. And make it cheap to go and run as well.

Yeah its NSP (Nebraska State Patrol)!! It wasnt me but ive been in that area you could say. Its just outside of Lincoln i believe. As for the Track comment, i have a 1320 about 10 mins from my house and dont use it becuz everytime ive been there i have waited 3+ hours to make my first pass only to have the track officals put an orange cone in the middle of the staging lanes. "that way you dont ruin the prep job for the Bracket racers" So great lets start in the Fkin gravel!!!

The whole argument of 'there is no traffic', 'they are only endangering themselves' and so forth, doesn't change the fact that it is illegal. Yes I agree they should spend more time with the resources they have more wisely.

Fact of the matter is, it's illegal regardless, and yes it blows when we get busted, but that is ALWAYS the risk you take among others...

It may be illegal, but this state gives us no other option unless we are able to travel 4 hours. We have had people willing to front the money for a strip longer than I've been alive and the city/state keep rejecting the proposition.

This happened in Lincoln, NE. in July 2009. This was a day that we had been planning for roughly 3 months, in which we had a rival city down to race their cars against ours. We had been racing for about 4 hours when we were finally busted. I found out later that this was "safety weekend" in which they had the Omaha, NE helicopter in Lincoln. This happens once a year.

My ticket consisted of "Willfull Wreckless" "Racing on a Public Roadway".
This for some reason made huge news on Monday, then on Tuesday the police went on the record saying how much of a danger we were to the public and blah, blah, blah. I called a local news channel and told them I would do an interview. I basically stated how much this town needs an outlet for us car enthusiasts and that street racing wasn't going to cease until there is one. The end of the interview went like this. "Will you continue to do it (street race)",reporter. My response, " Guaranteed".

The guy in the black Talon hired a lawyer and he got the Willfull Wreckless dropped. My ticket was the max of $500

The one armed bandit Jasen

In the police's defense. They were watching interstate 80 and happened to see our burnouts. That's when they found us.

yeah im from kearney but my gf use to live in lincoln and i tend to visit dynosport more often than not.

Its KRP raceway that im talking about the orange cone in the launch area. Last cruise night there were more street cars than you could imagine out there, they put on the schedule street grudge matches at 7pm. I was there at 6:30 and didnt make my first pass until 11pm!!!!! Due to the braket cars wanting to keep running (Throttle stop, Delay Box, Trans Brake, old guys)

They should have given you a ticket for what you did to that Trans Am. That was just mean-spirited! lol!
